Max Payne 3 vs. Uncharted 3 multiplayer trailers

Today saw the official release of Max Payne 3 Multiplayer gameplay and there seems to be a little unease from some gamers, as they believe it to be a rip-off Uncharted 3 multiplayer. There have been suggestions that its cover system mechanics, targeting and shooting is the same and shows a lack of innovation but we’re not convinced.

If this were true then it wouldn’t be a bad thing because some gamers believe that Naughty Dog are top dog in the developer world (debatable) and could help Max Payne 3 in the long run, but we’re not too sure. Okay, while there are some aspects of the new multiplayer looking similar in parts to Uncharted 3 when you take a closer look at both trailers how many games did the latter copy to achieve what it has?

Yes it’s easy to say that this is a rip-off but you would then have to say that Uncharted 3 was a rip-off Gears of War and other such games with similar mechanics, and anyway how can this game containing elements from previous Max Payne games be compared to a franchise such as Uncharted, which we all know came later to the party?

Having looked over the new Max Payne 3 Multiplayer gameplay trailer (which you get some extra content if you pre-order the game) we can clearly see that the animations are much better than we have seen in the past, and those particle effects look awesome – but in our opinion Uncharted 3 still looks like the one to beat.

Do you believe that the Max Payne 3 multiplayer trailer is similar to Uncharted 3 multiplayer, to help we have both videos for you below?

As for the main news itself the new MP3 trailer helps to show off some of the cinematic shooting action, along with the now famous Bullet Time special ability. That’s not all you will also get the chance to connect with a character while in a third-person perspective, if that’s not enough then Rockstar will be releasing the second part of the video tomorrow – just wish Rockstar would do the same with GTA V now.

Were you impressed with the new footage or do you feel a little let down?

Looks different not the same. Good to see more 3 person than first person

Yes, I love 3rd person shooters. So excited to get more for the PS3 market with MP3 and GTA5.
