Times for Battlefield 3 Xbox 360 patch download
Those of you who play Battlefield 3 on a PC have been enjoying the new patch already, but if you have an Xbox 360 there’s still a wait for you. However, we are pleased to say that you will not have to wait very long, as the Xbox 360 patch will be available to download from today.
As you would imagine the list of times will vary for your area because of time zones and also phasing them in during different times, as to not overload the servers. The times for PST is 2am to 6am, EST is 5am to 9am and finally UTC will be 9am to 1pm. It’s clear to see that the times will vary by 4 hours, which should alleviate any fears of servers slowing down or failed download attempts.
The patch looks pretty similar to the PS3 and PC versions and while they offer some great tweaks and fixes for the game, there’s still so much DICE needs to do in order to resolve a number of other issues, which Alan Kertz has been sharing details of.
He does not go into specifics, he does admit that while they have made huge strides with updating the game so far, there’s still a long way to go. A recent article points out how Kertz would love to bring out a BF3 update on a weekly basis, which is something they would like to look at in the future – wouldn’t get your hopes up on that one.
While Kertz did not go into too much detail he has outlined a few areas that he feels will need a few tweaks, with the repair tool being one of them. Another tweak would be with the helicopter because it looks as though their weapons could be far too powerful now, but surely it’s nice to have a decent amount of firepower now?
Keeping with weapons there’s still an ongoing issue with heat seeking missiles on fighter jets, which becomes more apparent on fast moving targets. As yet there’s no time frame as to when DICE will release the next Battlefield 3 patch, but those who are still not happy with the latest set of tweaks will hope that’s soon.
What do you like and dislike about the latest BF3 patch, maybe being able to customize your vehicle would be one of them?
