Slot ready for GTA 5 release date
Since the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto V was released last October the main topic of conversation was when the GTA 5 release date will be, there have been so many but could this latest news help shed some light on the true date? October this year had already been suggested, but that was dismissed because BioShock: Infinite was due. However, this has since been delayed to February 26, which according to analysts has left a slot ready for Rockstar to launch their anticipated game.
The creative director of the game had said the delay of BioShock: Infinite was so they can get the best from the game, but it could have something to do with Black Ops 2 launching in November. We know that GTA V will face the same issue but let’s face it, Rockstar’s game will have no issue holding it’s own against the next call of Duty title.
Sales of Grand Theft Auto V could reach more than 18 million, which would put it in direct competition with Black Ops 2 although we have to remember that the previous version has so far sold over 19.2 million copies, and MW3 selling over 22 million.
There’s also the rumor that Rockstar had told Take-Two that GTA V would be ready in October, and so they took this as an opportunity to delay the release of BioShock: Infinite – to us this does sound like a more plausible reason. We might get an announcement during E3 but we could hear even sooner, maybe when Take-Two provides their Q4 2012 results, which is set for May 22nd.
What makes October a more plausible release date for GTA V is previous versions of this game have been released in this month. There are other reasons why it makes sense for Rockstar to release their latest Grand Theft Auto title in October, and one of them is because these current-gen consoles are nearing the end of their life and the developers need to get some mileage out of their game.
Our final thought is that Rockstar will be integrating Max Payne 3 and GTA 5 so makes perfect sense for both games to be released this year, we already know the former will be released in just a few days so it doesn’t want to be waiting around for its partner for long.
Do you think Take-Two was forced to delay BioShock: Infinite because of fear that GTA 5 could affect sales?

says the guy who uses "ur" and "u" rather than taking the time to type out "you" and "you're"... next time you try to correct someone for using incorrect grammar, try using a little bit yourself.
you like the devloper!! you and rockstar sitting in a tree! k-i-s-s-i-n-g then comes love! then comes marrage! then comes dufus in a baby carrage!!
Why would any Game Dev be worried about Black Ops 2, is this guy serious? The amount of back lash and hatred towards the game already is a sign of it's failure. Halo 4, Assassins Creed 3 and GTA 5 are games that are going to be a major hit.
Everybody is talking about release dates, but I personally believe that they haven't even complete the game yet. I just feel that if they did, they would at least release another trailer for it, it's been more than 6 months since the last one. Maybe they're going through certain setbacks, or they could just be waiting for Max Payne 3, which sounds most plausible.
Yeah, nobody listens to anything Rockstar says, it's all about the rumours. Rockstar said that there wasn't going to be any released news about grand theft auto 5 until the release of max payne 3 was gone and out of the way.
This is all just the same crap being posted! Rockstar hasn't even announced the release date and they will when it comes around
You know how I know that you don't know what the word 'speculation' means? Why would you intentionally click on a link to just make yourself frustrated by "the same crap!". Did you accidentally get linked here?
