Angry Birds on 7mm thick iPhone 5
If you’ve every wondered what Angry Birds would look like on a 7mm thick iPhone 5 then we have a treat for you today, which comes to us thanks to Antoine Brieux from NAK Studio. The first image you can see on this page shows a concept version of the 6th generation iPhone, which is in landscape mode and has a virtual home button. This is something we’d love to see that allows for more screen width without having a bigger form factor.
The benefits of a Liquidmetal iPhone 5 – you might have heard a lot about “Liquidmetal” over the last few weeks, and the latest Apple rumors firmly point to its inclusion in the next iPhone, which has an expected release towards the end of 2012. This mixture of metals allows the iPhone 5/6 to become more durable, so it could feel solid, expensive, and light without a cheap plastic feeling.
Brieux’s iPhone concept touts a quad-core A6 chip, 10 megapixel camera, and 4.5-inch display with more space thanks to a virtual home button, embedded SIM card, and is sized at 116.2×59.4×7.9mm. We’ve included a number of photos below and you can see even more via this page on the official blog.

Take a look at the photos and let us know what you think is missing? We looked at the Samsung Galaxy S3 vs. a potential iPhone 5 screen size a few days ago, and some of our readers rightly pointed out that the current iPhone 4S is “too small and heavy for mobile gaming in 2012“. Although this concept design is much better looking in our opinion. Now we wonder if Apple’s designers can make anything remotely like this, because a design change is long overdue.
Gaming on a lighter and bigger iPhone 5 seems like a no-brainer to us, but the form factor shouldn’t increase too much because it still needs to fit in small pockets.
