Doom 3 BFG Edition with DLC for PS3/Xbox 360
News of Doom 3 BFG Edition coming to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 shows that Bethesda are continuing to embrace the well-known first-person shooter and release the 2004 classic Doom 3 in a special edition. Plenty of improvements and additions will be expected along with previously released DLC content, so fans will get the chance to return to the Doom universe with new features to this popular game.
There will be lots of offer this time around and this version will involve updated 5.1 surround sound audio, fine-tuned controls and improvements to lighting and rendering, along with Doom 3’s original checkpoint and save system, which has changed for the better. This BFG edition will also be working on 3D systems and the graphics have been touched up so get ready to feel fully immersed in the action.
With more focus on light Doom 3 BFG Edition will give players the option of a shoulder-mounted flashlight although you can continue with swapping your machine gun, chainsaw, and flashlight if you so wish, but the chance to put a light next to you head is a welcome choice. A completely new single-player campaign being included in this version known as “The Lost Mission” and will contain seven new levels of gameplay.
Fans of the series will be pleased to know that the original Doom and Doom 2 are also included on the disk, and although we do not have a release date yet, we are hoping that this will be coming out pretty soon. There is also no news on the cost either but the idea of this edition containing previous games along with the improvements noted and the recent DLC is great treat for those who love the series.
