Latest Diablo 3 update to include Retina support

One Apple announcement that caught out attention was the fact that Diablo 3 will be getting an update so that it can support the new Retina Display of the new MacBook Pro, which will make gameplay look even sharper than normal. There were concerns that the screen on the current MacBook Pro was not that impressive, but that will no longer be an issue.

Apple has said that your experience with Diablo 3 will be like nothing you have ever seen before, but you’ll have to pay for the privilege because the price for the new MacBook Pro with Retina display starts at $2,199 up to $2,799 (more for upgrades) – you really need to be dedicated to part with that much cash when you consider that the model without Retina display is $600 cheaper, but that comes with a 750GB standard HDD and not the 512GB flash storage.

We’re still waiting for the release date of the Diablo 3 update, but one would presume that it wouldn’t be too far down the line. That’s not all Blizzard will be doing because they have also announced that players caught violating the end user license agreement will receive a permanent ban.

This latest product from Apple and also certain aspects of iOS 6 and OS X Mountain Lion is further proof that Apple is trying to please the gaming community, as we know that Mac devices have never been that popular in terms of gaming when compared to the PC. Apple still has a long way to go but they are now taking the right steps to be a true contender to the PC in terms of gaming – but there’s still a mountain to climb.

Other features of the new MacBook Pro with Retina display that will further improve your gaming experience are as follows: up to 2.7GHz quad-core i7, 16GB of DDR3L SDRAM, 768GB Flash Storage, and NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M complete with 1GB of GDDR5 memory.

Do you think this is the ultimate gaming laptop yet from Apple?
