iPhone 5 and transparent gaming
A recent video has given us a taste of what a transparent iPhone 5 could look like, but we would have to wonder how this would affect gaming? It’s all very well saying how amazing the concept is, but just think about it for a moment and you will start to see how much of a bad idea this is.
If Apple were to launch something like this then yes it would be considered revolutionary, but how would you be able to read text or even play games as well as you can now? The technology being used is not out yet – no surprise – but it’s being called iClear Retina display. The only real advantage that we can see with this is taking photos, as you will see the image how your eye sees it, but that’s not going to be enough to sell such a concept is it?
We’re not sure how devs would be able to apply such technology with their apps, while some novelty ones would be able to take advantage, it’s hard to see how they could implement any gaming apps – then again there’s always a way. There’s also another cool feature where you can place the phone on a flat surface and then a virtual keyboard will appear, although this is something we have seen many times before.
Let’s face it this is all a bit of fun and will be nothing like the iPhone 5 when it’s released later this year, but it’s good to see that people are still trying to think of ways to make the iPhone unique.
