Assassin’s Creed 3 Liberation: Observing Aveline’s abilities

As we eagerly await the upcoming Assassin’s Creed 3 Liberation for the PlayStation Vita this historical action-adventure open world stealth title involves a new female protagonist adding a change of direction for the franchise. Embracing the new African-French assassin we are intrigued to see what Aveline de Grandpré can do in this game set around the end of the French and Indian War, in 18th Century New Orleans.

A new trailer involves a look into the Louisiana Rebellion and the humble beginnings, although the attention is on Aveline and the historical setting. Giving an insight into what is contained Neoseeker refer to the background of Aveline, who is the daughter of a French merchant and an African slave, living in New Orleans. The story of her troubles revolves around her being set up in a situation of pairing women of color with French or Spanish men in a “left-handed” wedding, thus causing her to join up with the assassins.

Towards the end of the trailer, you get to see Aveline dressed in her masculine assassin gear, along with more impoverished clothing as well as fancy dress that is more regal. This is where questions have been asked about whether this will be to do with the characters progression or will there be a disguise mechanism involved in the game. In relation to the gameplay we recently wrote about this in a post on the background of this setting and that Aveline will be able to wield two weapons at the same time, along with news that she will be crossing the Gulf to Mexico.
