Fuse weapons experienced in trailer
The development of Fuse was announced on May 25, 2010 and officially revealed at E3 2011. It is a reworking of a game titled Overstrike and is a four-player cooperative developed by Insomniac Games and published by Electronic Arts. Due out in March this upcoming multiplatform title has just had its first official trailer showing off some the cool weapons involved, so we are interested to see what else is in store.
The third person shooter set in the near future and revolves around a team of four misfit agents collectively known as Overstrike 9, and other than being an action game not much has been divulged about what is contained. In an article on CVG, they highlight comments by Insomniac CEO Ted Price along with the opportunity to see this game in action. Price states “Fuse demonstrates what Insomniac does best” this refers to amazing and gruesome weapons design along with over-the-top action and a touch of humor.
He said it’s going to be exciting to see how players utilize lethal teamwork with a combination of their Fuse weapons to put a stop to the deadly arms race. Reporting news of the Fuse trailer Metro also write about how long it has taken to come out due to legal troubles. It seems there will be more giant robots expected and plenty has chanced since its 2011 unveiling, as well as its name. Apparently, the reason for the delay is down to the licensing issue with one of the songs, and now it is resolved we can expect Fuse sometime in March 2013 on both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
Centered on a multiplayer co-op, this title also allows solo players to switch control between characters at any time, with fully upgradeable weapons and abilities. Do you find it strange that Fuse has had such limited details considering it will be released in six months’ time?
