Mass Effect 3: Wii U eye candy
Taking into consideration the controversy surrounding the ending for Mass Effect 3, there is no denying this has been a top selling title this year. Therefore, we are not surprised this will be making its way to Nintendo’s new Wii U console as a launch title. Recent screenshots of the upcoming Wii U launch title give those interested in both the game and the console the chance to check out what it looks like for yourself.
The eye candy on offer is regarded as pretty standard although viewers will get the opportunity to see some dynamic action frames, and Gaming Blend mention the screenshots showing the gunning down of some reapers along with helping Liara on a hostile planet. Mass Effect 3 is expected launch for the Wii U alongside the console around the 20th of November and although this will be good for Nintendo fans, it would also be nice to see the first two entries for newcomers to get a feel for the game.
In other Mass Effect 3 news, Gaming Illustrated review the Leviathan DLC on the PC and feel that those expecting some kind of compensation with this content for the controversial ending will be deeply disappointed, although those who have no issue with the end may find this money well-spent. With an overall score of 81%, they regard the story as well developed and interesting, but when you look at the bigger picture, the context of the game feels ultimately unimportant, giving reason to accumulate more unanswered questions.
As far as entertainment is concerned, the gameplay is fun and varied, with a few humorous moments, although the price is not classed as good value for just a few hours of extra gameplay. Last month we wrote about Mass Effect 3 double DLC and this is a welcome sign for those concerned with the lack of single player expansions. Do you feel that you have been let down by Mass Effect 3 and the added DLC seems like an empty-handed gesture?
