Assassin’s Creed 3 open-world map explored

In the past we have seen how popular the release of a new Assassin’s Creed title was, but we can’t help notice how different things are with Assassin’s Creed 3 because the hype for the game is like nothing we’ve seen before from the franchise. There’s good reason for that, and while the new engine, gameplay and features are all a helping factor, it’s the marketing machine that is the biggest credit to building up the excitement.

Ubisoft has done more than enough to keep us interested in AC3, but don’t worry because they have still left out some gems that will surprise us once the game is released later next month. Just recently certain people have started to see what all the fuss is about, and we’re sure that there will be more hands-on previews of the game in the coming weeks. One of the most recent got to play Assassin’s Creed 3 halfway in and was able to explore the new open-world map – a first for the franchise.

There are four key features to this game in terms of the setting, and those are the bustling streets of Boston and New York, but also the expanse of New England and the navel battles. The map is like nothing you would have seen before in an AC game and those with the Wii U version will have the added bonus of the map always showing on the Gamepad.

It’s a possibility that both AC3 and Assassin’s Creed 3 Liberation could come with cross play, but we have yet to get confirmation on this. If this prospect was not exciting enough then getting to see how you get to interact with George Washington and other key figures during the American Revolution will be.

For those who have made the decision to purchase Assassin’s Creed 3 but are unsure as to where to pre-order your copy, then the best way is to just look at the pre-order bonuses that are available. We discussed this back in April because some gamers felt as though just having access to free weapons or skins was not enough to entice them to pre-order and would rather hold on to the money and purchase the game once released – are you one of them?
