No FIFA 13 sales problems, anticipation realized

It came as no surprise to us to learn that sales of FIFA 13 were very healthy on their first day in the US, and we believe that there will be no such problem for the title in the UK and the rest of Europe either. On it’ s first day the latest soccer/football title from EA shifted about 353,000 copies on the two main consoles, but one would expect these numbers to be significantly more for the European market.

No FIFA 13 sales problems, anticipation realized

From what we’ve been told this is an increase of at least 42 percent over the previous version of the game, but that’s not all, FIFA 13 clocked up more than 1.4 million games online in the first day as well, which also saw an increase of 35 percent when compared to FIFA 12 back in 2011.

We expect FIFA 13 to be a huge hit once again in the UK, where the passion for the game is second to none. Now while I’m not a lover of the sport you have to admire how EA has managed to recapture the magic of the sport, such as getting a player within the game to react and play just how they would do on a real pitch.

While I never get involved with the game when round a friends house I’ve heard on many occasions that he would like to see the commentary improved, well EA seems to have not only answered him but millions of other fans as well. However, the biggest changes come from how much more fluid the game is along with other improved modes as well.

Going back to those figures we were discussing above, FIFA 13 for iOS also saw a record breaking launch for the game on that platform also, as it got to the number one spot in 55 counties. Because many stores realize that FIFA 13 was going to be such a big deal in the UK some of them decided to hold a few midnight launches. However, if you were looking for the best deal from the big supermarkets then Sainsbury’s has that covered, more details can be found on these prices in our recent article.

Overall FIFA is not a huge leap from its predecessor but more subtle, but that’s not a bad thing because EA has tweaked the game just enough to make it a vast improvement over FIFA 12, but would you agree?
