New Borderlands 2 DLC release about weapons

Details of Borderlands 2 DLC do not stay secret for long and it seems the next content drop for the game has been discovered prior to Gearbox actually announcing it. Apparently, the next DLC will be known as “Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage,” and those who are familiar with the game will know Torgue is one of the main weapon manufacturers on Pandora, so we can expect the weapon aspect will be a prominent focal point in the next content.

Some investigative PlayStation 3 gamers have found three more trophies for Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage in the latest DLC and Stick Skills informs readers that this was the same way they discovered “Captain Scarlett and her Pirate’s Booty,” so they feel there is a good chance this is real. They also highlight the recently uncovered trophies that have been posted on NeoGAF. As we wait for Gearbox to let us on the finer details some have suggested this could also be about vehicular combat, as there is a bit of skepticism around whether they will base a single DLC around a manufacturer.

Those with a season pass may be intrigued how much Borderlands 2 DLC will be on offer considering there is some expected that is not part of the pass, especially when you look how fast the content is coming out after its release. In other Borderlands 2 news, Examiner reports on an update released for PlayStation 3 version and the patch notes of all the fixes. It seems this update doesn’t actually bring any new features to the game, and concentrates on various problems that have been experienced throughout the title.

Only last week, we spoke about the first big Borderlands 2 campaign add-on, set to add new characters to the game and this is where we mentioned Captain Scarlett and her Pirate’s Booty and the chance to explore a new part of Pandora wasteland, once a beautiful resort by the ocean. Have you had the chance to play the new DLC? Do you feel that there will be so much added content, that the developers do not intend to make a Borderlands 3 just yet?
