Black Ops 2 3DS release gains momentum
Earlier this year there was a rumor that there will be a Black Ops 2 3DS edition and while it sounded a little far fetched a recent listing has appeared on a UK retailers website, and the possible release has now started to gain momentum once again.
The website in question is Zavvi, who are indecently the ones who are offering the best price for Black Ops 2 on the Wii in the UK as well. Currently on the website Zavvi has listed the latest Call of Duty title for the 3DS to be released at the same time as the other platforms (expect the Wii U of course) and have priced it at £34.95 and is up for pre-order.
CVG has contacted Activision, but has yet to receive an answer from them. For now we would take this as a mistake because both publisher and developer would have announced something by now, along with Nintendo as well? There could still be some truth in the listing though, but maybe it could be a side-game like Black Ops: Declassified for the PS Vita? However, this still doesn’t hide the fact that none of these companies did not shout such a release from the rooftops.

To add even more confusion there’s also a listing for the original Wii as well. While some gamers would say that it would be silly to release a Wii version of Black Ops 2 because its successor will be with us soon, it’s worth remembering that the Wii has a huge install base and could help keep the console relevant – you only have to look at the success Sony has had with keeping their PS2 platform alive to know that this move would make perfect sense.
Do you think the Black Ops 2 3DS listing is a mistake? Do you think this port would be good or bad?
