Download PS3 update 4.30 tomorrow
The amount of times you turn on you PlayStation 3 and an update starts initializing seems to be a regular occurrence these days, and sometimes they seem like a pointless exercise for someone that just wants to play their game immediately, in fact most times we just think what was that all about and carry on regardless. Tomorrows update PS3 update 4.30 will introduce several changes to the way your Trophies are displayed and it seems that your Trophy Collection will now have a home under PlayStation Network on the XMB.
In addition, the Trophies you have collected through the PlayStation Vita games will be displayed on your PS3, giving gamers the opportunity to check out their Trophy level and progress at the same time as viewing their collection. Highlighting this, the PlayStation Blog informs gamers that the download will be available tomorrow Tuesday the 23rd of October, and this will be ideal for many Vita users who want to monitor their trophies. Some gamers would like to see updates that are more advanced in the future with suggestions about being able to download in background while watching Blu-Ray DVDs.
With many sad to see Life with PlayStation go, the update is great news for PS Vita owners, although some would like to see an update that allows players to delete trophies they do not want. Others would like to opt out of updates that they feel are irrelevant to them, especially when it just seems like a waste of time. I may have exaggerated as to how often the these updates come along, although taking everyone’s varied situations into account it’s nice to see that they are constantly trying to improve our experience on the PS3.

When it comes to the updates that do not concern certain users it would be ideal for more information in regards to whether it is worth having. In relation to this, last month we spoke about a pointless PS3 4.25 update for non PS Plus members, and those without subscriptions have no interest with something that doesn’t concern them. This is where many gamers may end up wasting time downloading an update then realize that it was pointless for them. Would you like to see more information given with each update?
