Golden Joysticks 2012 live stream video times

Its hard to imaging an awards ceremony dedicated to gaming is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, and being the world’s second oldest video game awards Golden Joysticks 2012 is also known as the People’s Gaming Awards. At this event, the best home computer and video games of the year are voted for by the general public and hosted by Ed Byrne in London, today.

Looking at the live stream video times, the Golden Joysticks Award ceremony it is due to start at 3pm BST, 4pm CET, 5pm EET and 7am PDT. Highlighting the times and what could be a serious contender PC Gamer mention this years big titles that could be in line the pick up an honor with plenty of different categories to choose from. Certain games like Diablo 3, Skyrim, Dark Souls, Mass Effect 3 and The Witcher 2 will all be looking to obtain the prize for best role-playing game, while the likes of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will go head-to-head with Battlefield 3.

Over the years, gaming events have become more prestigious and the amount of votes for last years awards was in the region of 2.1 million breaking the Guinness World Records. In an article on Digital Spy this year shows that records are there to be broken, as 4 million votes have been cast and received for this year’s event smashing the previous achievement. Associate publisher James Kick regards the Golden Joystick Awards, as the worlds “most credible” gaming awards and the amount of votes this time around is a great testament to everyone involved.

He feels that this year’s ceremony will be the best yet, with a record amount of votes cast and plenty of massive titles nominated, which include the likes of Skyrim, Batman: Arkham City and Modern Warfare 3. Since 1989, the categories have had some evolving additions, there will also be ‘Best Handheld Game’, ‘One to Watch’, and ‘Ultimate Game of the Year’ awards making a return.
