Countdown to LEGO The Lord of the Rings Christmas favorite
It seems that many consumers who have purchased the Xbox 360 version of LEGO The Lord of the Rings have mistakenly ended up with a demo disc instead of the final product and this issue has been noticed through two different stores. As we countdown to this Christmas favorite we must reiterate that there has been a recall of the affected copies.
Apparently, the main issue is just to do with disc labeling and the copies themselves contain the full game content, which is fully functional, and Kotaku highlight a statement by Warner Brothers explaining this is only a labeling problem. This does not affect any other part of the game and those wanting to find out more about this can contact customer support via email through the above link, while copies continue to be remanufactured and delivered to the stores as soon as they can.
Giving their account of a hands-on experience, Everybody Plays mentions over 60 characters to unlock and the whole of Middle Earth to explore in a world full of side-quests, hidden items, new weapons and abilities for your character to obtain. The emphasis is put on exploration for those intent on accumulating as many collectables as they can, and more is offer with the items you collect, as some of these may be needed towards the end of the game.
The use of the film’s official soundtrack is ideal background music to bring this game to life along with a new focus on storytelling, and unlike other LEGO titles, The Lord of the Rings version uses voice acting taken from the film making the whole experience more authentic. Some funny moments are witnessed throughout the cutscenes adding to the great adventure contained, and many of the puzzles require co-operation, so those playing on their own can rest assure that the computer will take on the role as your helper.
Regarding this as an epic adventure, it comes out at the end of this month and is set to be another great addition to the LEGO video game franchise in time for Christmas. Have you put LEGO The Lord of the Rings on your list?
