Skyrim Dragonborn confirmed for PS3, Dawnguard and Hearthfire ambiguity
With Xbox 360 owners now enjoying their third Skyrim DLC, those on the PS3 are still waiting for their first. However, while looking on the Bethesda Blog yesterday we found a little treat, it seems as though Dragonborn will be coming to the PS3 early next year, but we find it a little worrying that nothing has been said in regards to Dawnguard and Hearthfire.
It’s certainly great news that PS3 owners will finally be getting Skyrim DLC, but with Bethesda saying “We’re also happy to announce Dragonborn will be available on PS3 and PC early next year.” It all seems a little vague. We already knew that they were working on the new content, so come on just nail down a date and give it to us already.
While many of our readers have expressed that they would much prefer to have Dawnguard, we’re pretty certain that they would be happy with whatever new downloadable content they get. Personally I would be happy if Bethesda just owned up and said that PS3 users would not be getting Dawnguard and Hearthfire, at least we would finally know where we stand.
However, if this were the case then surly a patch offering many new items would go a long way in making up for the past several months of pain. Okay not pain exactly but you know what I mean.
The more I think about Bethesda only stating on their blog that Dragonborn will be coming to the PS3 next year, we have to wonder what has happened to all the work they have supposedly been doing on the other two over the months? When we look at it like that we start to wonder if Bethesda are being completely truthful – maybe we won’t even see Dragonborn on the PlayStation 3 in 2013 because we’ve heard it all before?
Then again because it’s a separate map and not linked to Skyrim directly maybe that’s the reason why they have finally managed to get the DLC to work on Sony’s games console?
