Journey more recognized than Halo 4 and Dishonored
The Interactive Achievement Awards event now known as the DICE Awards looks set to reveal their best games of the year with Journey being nominated for an astonishing 11 awards at this year’s ceremony. News of this gives us reason to believe that Journey is more recognized than both Halo 4 and Dishonored.
Out of the many categories involved, Journey is up for everything including outstanding game direction and game of the year with the other nine documented in a report on Warpzoned. As far as GOTY contenders go, Borderlands 2, Far Cry 3, XCOM: Enemy Unknown and The Walking Dead are in the running along with blockbuster titles such as Halo 4 and Dishonored, which both have six and five nominations respectively.
While we try to predict the winners from each category, it looks like Journey has more chance to pick up multiple awards than any other does, although we feel the likes of Halo 4 and Dishonored will both receive a prestigious award for their efforts in creating two of the best games seen for sometime. The ceremony held next month will issue the awards on the 7th of February and the host will be Chris Hardwick, so we are intrigued to see how well this title is perceived closer to the event.
In relation to the many categories involved, what awards do you think Journey has the strongest chance of winning? Additionally, who do are you tipping to win the prestigious Game of the Year award?
