Upcoming Ubisoft meeting prompts questions about Assassin’s Creed sequel
Since the latest versions of Assassin’s Creed have made their way to PlayStation 3, Xbox 360
Wii U, PC and PS Vita, it’s fair to say the popular series being experienced on a multitude of platforms has given it an edge over other franchises. This has caused many gamers to question when the next one will arrive and where will it be set?
A batch of mysterious Assassin’s Creed invitations to an upcoming Ubisoft event being held next Wednesday has given us cause to question whether there will be a reveal on the cards. The event in question has been discussed by MCV on Twitter concerning a February 27 date, which is a week tomorrow.
This has given us cause for excitement about news of an upcoming title or revealed plans to divulge some serious Assassins Creed 4 news. In a brief article on Gaming Everything they highlight Ubisoft’s recent financial call, in which CEO Yves Guillemot has hinted about more details being shared “very soon“.
From what we are lead to believe a new Assassin’s Creed game will involve a fresh protagonist in a new time setting, and this is also being developed by a new team. In addition, we understand that gamer reactions have suggested settings like Victorian London and Revolutionary France, although Ancient China has also been previously mentioned.
At the moment we are still in the dark, although it would be nice to see that Ubisoft has taken gamer requests into consideration, especially if another Assassin’s Creed is expected this year or next. Do you feel this could coincide with tomorrows PlayStation meeting?
