Saints Row 4 vs. GTA 5 and Watch Dogs this fall
Speculation surrounding some form of announcement at this year’s PAX East event has amounted in rumours about whether Saints Row 4 is set to be announced, although if this is true it will be taking on the likes of the highly anticipated GTA 5 and Watch Dogs this fall.
With all the talk about next-generation gaming revolving around the upcoming consoles its worth contemplating how many fans will be excited about the expected titles on the current PS3, so we are intrigued to know if these three games will all be going head-to-head.
Going by comments made by Deep Silver, those not attending this month’s event will be missing out on a big announcement, and according to a tweet from Aubrey Norris, PAX East will have something huge revealed and speculation points in the direction of Saints Row 4.
While we investigate the titles related to both Deep Silver and Koch Media, it is hard to find one that has the popularity of the Saints Row series, and we are under the impression that Volition has been developing the game for quite some time.
In addition, hints were given last year by the president of THQ about a slated release of new Saints Row title in 2013, and Attack of the Fanboy highlight how this could put the game up against the likes GTA 5 and Watch Dogs, as these will all be open-world titles that is a popular feature among many gamers.
With GTA 5 and Watch Dogs scheduled for a similar release bracket it will be nice to see another Saints Row title enter the mix, proving healthy competition all around. We understand that this could be a totally unrelated title to the Saints Row franchise, but we feel this is a distinct possibility.

Watch Dogs could be a surprise package among the familiar franchises, and we hope it puts up a decent challenge with the likes of GTA 5 and the suspected Saints Row title. Prior to this we spoke about the release date of Grand Theft Auto 5 and mentioned how fans are continuing to show their disapproval about the delay.
