God of War: Ascension game length a goal for gamers
God of War: Ascension is set to release throughout various regions over the course of the next week on the PlayStation 3. This new instalment to the series is said to be similar to that of its predecessors with plenty of combo-based combat, and according to Famitsu magazine the game length should be around 8 hours, which has given gamers a goal to achieve.
While some gamers like to take their time experiencing various titles to the fullest, others love to fly through them to see how quick they can be completed, and once an estimated time has been stated, gamers see this as a challenge. In an article on The Silent Chief, they highlight reports of the single player mode for God of War: Ascension being cleared in 8 hours, and question what difficulty this is on, because we recently heard that it should take about 10 to 12 hours to finish.
The differentiation in time can also be down to how adept certain gamers are with completing puzzles and their actual play style, so we can see this becoming a competition for many fans. With that in mind, gamer’s reactions have resulted in many deciding to take this as a challenge.
This will add even more excitement for the game which seems to be releasing throughout various regions on a daily basis from North America on March 12, to Europe, Australia and the UK on the 13th, 14th and 15th respectively. Therefore, the God of War: Ascension game length could be a goal for many gamers out there.
With Famitsu magazine giving this game a great rating of 9/10, we can see this being a challenge that some may complete before it has released throughout the different territories.
