Call of Duty: MW4 becomes Ghosts with similar weapons
As Call of Duty fans anticipate another addition to the franchise, speculation around this new title has brought up some interesting information about the upcoming game. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is reportedly going to be called Ghosts according to a rumour said to be from a “very legitimate” source, which has provided one YouTube user with details about everything from the name and game announcement to the modes and more.
YouTube user Drift0r feels this information has come from a reliable source and MW4 will be straying away from the original brand, although Modern Warfare weapons will be similar to that experienced in the last title. News of this is highlighted in an article on IGN along with reports that this game will be set in the future, but the MW4 weapons will be from the past.
Call of Duty Ghosts will change player movement giving users the opportunity to dash and slide while shooting, along with options to roll side-to-side while prone and peek around corners. Additionally, this title will also contain dynamic loading screens and destructive environments in single-player, which could be added within the multiplayer at a later date.
Other rumours also point in the direction of a new mode replacing Spec Ops, and with speculation surrounding the creation of a next-gen Call of Duty title from Infinity Ward, this means we could be looking at this game arriving on the next-generation consoles and PC, with May being suggested as a viable announcement time for the upcoming game.
While Activision has yet to confirm any of this to be true, we expect some form of update in the coming months. Do you like the sound of the improvements made in this so-called Call of Duty: Ghosts? Or are you just waiting for this to be confirmed before you start getting too excited about the next Call of Duty title?
