New Ninja Turtles movie gains cast

Its seems that the Ninja Turtles are back once again and news of a Ninja Turtles 2014 movie is accumulating plenty of attention, as this Michael Bay-produced film looks set bring those pizza eating lean, green fighting machines back into the limelight. With Bay at the helm we can expect a blockbusting version, and we are now starting to see news of the Ninja Turtles movie cast coming together.

The thought of Megan Fox playing Turtle pal April O’Neil will be enough for some fans but we are intrigued to know who’s in line to play the turtle parts. A couple of days ago we found out that Alan Ritchson would play Raphael with Michelangelo, Leonardo and Donatello being played by Noel Fisher, Pete Ploszek and Jeremy Howard.

With Jonathan Liebesman as the director, we can expect this New Ninja Turtles movie to be a welcome return for the turtles, so we thought it would be a good idea to run through the cast involved. In an article on Empire they mention Pete Ploszek’s role as leader Leo and the fact that he is a relative newcomer with guest roles on the US version of Shameless.

While Jeremy Howard who plays Donatello has been in films like Catch Me If You Can and Galaxy Quest, Noel Fisher will be Michelangelo and fans of Fisher will know him as a veteran of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2.

Rather than wearing actual suits we understand the actors play the turtles using Avatar-style performance capture suits, so with shooting commencing next month we expect this new outing to be one that brings back the love for those crime-fighting Ninja Turtles. Maybe we will see another catchy chart release to accompany the film. Have you missed the presence of the Ninja Turtles?

The bad news is there are one metric butt-ton of reports that they will not actually be mutated turtles, but aliens.
