Fallout 4 release date rumours and trailer clues

Those of our readers looking for the latest Fallout 4 news and rumours will find just that on this page, which will be updated on a regular basis with information as it is leaked, or even officially given by Bethesda. Currently an official hasn’t confirmed the Fallout 4 release date, but gamers have been looking at clues and ideas for a new Fallout 4 location. We updated this article on May 14 with some details shared by fans and bloggers looking for Fallout 4 information. One blogger noticed something with the official store, maybe they’re reading too much into things, and a number of gamers noticed the previous Fallout trailer has been re-uploaded to the official YouTube account.

Fallout 4 setting and location – Back in August 2012 we looked at ideas for the Fallout 4 location from rumours suggesting Boston as the setting, and this article received some interesting comments from gamers.

Some people think Fallout 4 needs to be in a big city like New York, although you will find some gamers asking for another country with suggestions of London, Paris and Italy being most popular. One of our readers suggested Fallout 4’s location should be Italy for the “Monumental History”, which they feel would allow the game to “continue the Brotherhood chapter since in Fallout 3 they would pay you for any pre-war books to gather information from the past”.

More recently we have seen the idea of the UK being suggested, which didn’t receive much welcome from the majority of Fallout fans. Most gamers would like Fallout 4 to stay in the USA and claim that the U.S. has a lot more locations known around the world, of course you could consider Boston as the setting if you are to believe the previous rumours.

Fallout 4 release date – Bethesda hasn’t even delivered an official announcement yet in regard to Fallout 4, but we have seen a number of clues in the past that include leaks pointing to the Boston setting and claims of development for the game since 2010. When some people wonder if there will even be a Fallout 4, one gamer quite rightly pointed out “Bethesda didn’t go to a court battle with Interplay just to discontinue the Fallout series”.

Some fans thought Fallout 4 was about to be announced in April 2013, but this ended up being a trailer for The Evil Within. It is worth noting that The Evil Within is being published by Bethesda Softworks and not developed by Bethesda Game Studios. If we do see an announcement in 2013 for Fallout 4 then we’d expect a release date in 2014, although whether that’s just PS3/Xbox 360 or also PS4 and the so-called Xbox 720 is yet to be seen.

Vehicles in Fallout 4 – this is one topic that splits gamers with some people feeling that vehicles are a bad idea for Fallout 4, and they would rather see something like a sprint button or horse-like mounts to make you faster. Others feel that adding vehicles to Fallout 4 would “destroy the mechanic of gameplay”.

This isn’t the opinion of all Fallout fans and some point out that vehicles have been in the Fallout universe for a long time, which includes the ability to “create a Highwayman engine in Fallout 2 with an electronic charge, micro fusion cells and energy cells that allows for much faster travel”. Would you like to see vehicles in Fallout 4, and if so what ideas do you have?

Game tease: Bethesda Softworks recently teased a game on their Twitter account, which some people thought might be for Fallout 4. This had been quickly denied by Bethesda, so it looks like we will have to wait even longer before any Fallout 4 information is provided or even an announcement about hte game being in development. You can read more about the game tease in this article or see a trailer for what turned out to be Wolfenstein: The New Order here.

What do you have on your Fallout 4 wishlist? Do you have ideas for the plot, map, unique weapons, gameplay and other storyline elements? Any official screenshots, press announcements, trailers and other videos will be published on this page, so come back again and share on your Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus. Some people are even asking for religion to play a big part in Fallout 4, although we feel this isn’t a good idea. Do you feel that bloggers asking for religion to play a bigger part don’t understand the Fallout franchise?

Update May 14: Today, we have an update for our readers looking for clues towards the Fallout 4 release or at least news that some sort of announcement is coming. One blogger published some clues they think are to be found within the Bethesda Store, which has been explained in detail within this article. It makes a good read and suggests Tunnel Snakes might be returning in Fallout 4, although our opinion is that their view of Bethesda accidentally leaking these hints on the online store is incorrect. Our opinion is they’re looking too much into the items found on the official store, but feel free to share your thoughts on Tunnel Snakes returning in the comments.

Fallout 3 trailer uploaded again on YouTube: Did you notice that the previous game trailer has been uploaded again on YouTube with a new date of May 13, 2013? We have reached out to Bethesda for comment to see why they have uploaded the last trailer again, although some gamers are hoping it has something to do with a Fallout 4 announcement arriving soon. Take a look on YouTube yourself right here, then share a comment with your thoughts on this video being uploaded again after so many years.

I think a motorcycle would be perfect for Fallout 4.  It’s not a big ass car designed to remake the combat system or anything, it’s simply for getting around faster (like horses in Skyrim).  If there needs to be actual vehicles, only the biggest factions should have access to them (meaning some random wanderer from the wasteland can’t buy one for a few bottle caps).

  • Shane7

As a Canadian, I would love to see what happened to annexed Canada after the nuclear holocaust. Mutated beavers would be pretty awesome. There’s also many place to go like Montreal, Toronto, and Ottawa would work well, too.

    • Gustis

@Shane7 You are also a frontrunner, nice Penguins shiet queer

  • Gwatts

Vehicles are a terrible idea.  I wouldn’t mind something like a mountable bighorner but vehicles would be game-breaking.  The “vehicle in fallout 2″ argument is only made by people who have only played the new fallouts who have read about the highwayman in fallout 2, but don’t know the way fallout 2 works.  In fallout 2, the vehicle made fast travel between game areas faster, you weren’t actually controlling the vehicle.  It would be completely different in Bethesda’s version of the game.  Seriously, guys. Stop fooling around.

As for religion, I don’t think it would be a bad idea at all.  Religion has been in very big fallout in the past.  Back in Fallout, there was the Cathedral, which had a bunch of people worshiping The Master.  In Fallout 2, you start in a religious tribe where they worship the Vault Dweller, and there were the Hubologists in NCR and San Francisco.  Fallout 3 had the Children of the Atom and that church in Rivet City, and they treated Harold as a god in Oasis.  There was also that church in Point Lookout.  In New Vegas, there wasn’t much in the original game aside from those weird ghouls at REPCONN.  Then Honest Hearts came along, which was entirely based around Christianity, and more specifically Mormonism.  This one was pretty much impossible to miss unless you didn’t play Honest Hearts.

I do agree with most other fans that Fallout should stay in the US.  It’s theme is about postwar America, not the world.  All the iconic propaganda that is in Fallout would not work anywhere else.  The BoS are what’s left of the American government, it wouldn’t make sense for them to appear anywhere else(maybe Mexico, or Canada as it is part of the US in Fallout universe).  The Enclave only claim to represent old American Government, but are still only in America.  In fact, just about all organizations and factions in the Fallout universe so far are pretty much only in America.  Probably the biggest reason why any other country would be bad, Vaults are only in the United States.  Fallout without Vaults? Come on. Don’t be ridiculous.  The only thing that might be OK is a DLC that brings you to another country, but not anywhere European.  The only places that would be OK for a DLC are Mexico or China.  Europe has no importance in the Fallout universe.

  • Reece

There is also a deleted video on YouTube that appears on bethesda’s fallout playlist. This video was taken down as soon as it was put up as well as it being the most recent fallout video uploaded. Strange :)

  • TheLoneCourier

Light vehicles such as 4 wheelers could be acceptable if done correctly, I’m a huge fallout fan but I’ve only had gameplay experience on 3 and New Vegas. Also, cult-like religions could be nice. I recall something similar from broken steel, I believe? My biggest thing is the map, the environment. If you built an entire city or just a large area reminiscent of The Divide, or the D.C. Ruins, I would be ecstatic.

  • hellomikie92

Did you people forget the exploding cars in Fallout 3. Even in fallout 1 and 2 there were vehicles ,but not exploding. Come on go back and play Fallout 3. Some of y’all looked like y’all forgot. Vehicles are a good idea in the game as long as you can’t drive any.

    • Gwatts

      -_-

    • Arod

their talking about vehicles being driven? not just sitting there.  obviously they mean driving vehicles.

  • BenjaminStatham

Vehicles make sense but would fail gameplay-wise. It’s just not Fallout, more like RAGE. Fallout needs to keep the ‘Hardcore’ (survivalist) mode from NV as that fit perfectly and made the game infinitely more immersive. Gun Runners organisation would also be perfect to bring back. The harsher, more hostile and hopeless World like 3 had should be brought back too (NV was too civilized it was easy to forget a nuclear war had ever happened). As long as those things are present the location doesn’t matter to me. Although it would be cool to be able to fully explore the husk of a city and enter skyscrapers etc(DC was too enclosed).

  • Killerfish

i don’t think the game should move out of the USA that will be a bad idee they could add some sort of chines faction or radio stations or more chines weapons and broken planes seeing they where at war. Personal y i would not want a car or a bike it would take away from the game play this is not GTA there is no need for it and most of the roads are to bad  for cars to ride on or the is ruble in the way but wee need to be abel to sprint. they could add religions but not the religions we have in today’s time more like some humans that think being a ghoul is a blessing seeing they cant die or something like a god of technology i know this is not good idees for religions but something like that or like caesar’s legion and they should make the BoS a bigger part of the game like in FO3. they could also add night vision to some armored helmets for example power armor helmets could hve it

    • Gwatts

@Killerfish I actually liked the feeling of only being able to see as far as your Pip-Boy light could reach.

      • Killerfish

@Gwatts Most of the time it is fun when you are walking in the dark and all of a sudden there is a pack of ghouls but if you look at the power armor you can see there is a light on it but if they add it they should limmet it so it cant be on the whole time but think of it if you use the light in the night you are easier to see so you are a easier target to just pick of from far away.

        • Gwatts

@Killerfish Actually, I forgot that the Desert Ranger, or maybe just the Desert Ranger Riot Armor, had night-vision whenever you crouched.

  • RobbiePelkey

As a person who has played all of Bethesda’s games and my favorites being skyrim and fallout 3.  I think that they should not add vehicles let me rephrase that.. Hell no! if they add vehicles whats the point in making a so diverse and amazing landscape in a videogame if you are going to drive by it at 80 miles an hour?  Now a horse like skyrim might not be a bad idea,  Faster travel is a must even if it is only a sprint button but if you do that you have to include stamina like skyrim.  As for skills you need to have a max level like skyrim not just stop at level 30 and thats it… As for religions that could be interesting like old religions of aztecs where they eat people and rip out there hearts and stuff that might be cool.  Gotta keep the alien guns from fallout 3 those are amazing and really make taking down deathclaws easier.  As for the setting NYC would be amazing just think about miles of skyscrappers that you could explore, with a dead national park at the center of it, liberty island where the statue of liberties head has been blown off, all the monuments such as 9/11 and ground zero that would be so tight.  Fully customization of characters would be awesome to more like skyrim so i could make a guy look like me with goofy eyes and such. As for the major addition to the game ONLINE GAMEPLAY just picture it different people in different clans duking it out in the wastelands kind of like what rockstar did in red dead.  I think and online gamemode with the full map would be so cool.  It would take a lot longer for the game devopers to make the game but i have wanted them to do this forever.  Whatcha think? Yes no?

    • http://google.com/ Josh

@RobbiePelkey “Like Skyrim, like Skyrim, like Skyrim” .
Skyrim was a great game don’t get me wrong but not everything has to be modeled after it. I think they should add a mode that almost compares to DayZ where you have to watch every aspect of your health once you beat the original game, this in turn will make people want to replay the game for that added benefit.

      • Arod

@RobbiePelkey I dont know about you but I barely had time to play New Vegas once

        • RobbiePelkey

@Arod Like I said New Vegas was so damn short and super easy to finish compared to skyrim which took me months

      • RobbiePelkey

Like the original post the game engine and skill tree are going to be set like skyrim ^ i’m just saying graphics need to be up to date like skyrim.  I dont say every thing should be like skyrim cause it shouldnt Fallout is a different game obviously im just saying that the they need faster transportation like they did in the upgrade from oblivion to skyrim.  Also maxing out at level 30 is just too low i beat NV in two days and i maxed leveled sooner than that.  In skyrim it took me seriously FOREVER to max level all im saying.

        • MikeCreanJr

@RobbiePelkey   i agree with you reaching level 30 was too low plus need to make it where you can reach max on every skill and have trainers in fallout for a particular skill like skyrim that costs alot of money in the game but then like you said don’t make every thing in fallout like skyrim though.

        • Gwatts

@RobbiePelkey If you beat NV in two days, you didn’t play NV, you played the main quest of NV.

        • RobbiePelkey

@Gwatts no i played the game like 48 hours of gameplay is what i mean

    • Gwatts

      @RobbiePelkey No

      • RobbiePelkey

@Gwatts  @RobbiePelkey No online gameplay no to what very vague…

        • RobbiePelkey

@Gwatts If you say no to the online gameplay why the hell not??? How would that not be fun having a mode where you can get a gang of all your buds together and have a battle in the wastland with your perks and weapons you have collected.

        • Killerfish

@RobbiePelkey  @Gwatts i don’t want online game play you are suppose to be a lone wanderer there is so much good games that has been destroyd by online fetchers and online play and for some people it is not that easy to play online because of the internet speeds and server problems

        • Gwatts

@RobbiePelkey You shouldn’t have to ask that.  This is Bethesda, not Rockstar.

        • RobbiePelkey

@Gwatts you dont have to play online im just saying i know a lot of people that want it.  im not saying the game should be online only

    • Gwatts

@RobbiePelkey Deathclaws aren’t supposed to be easy to take down.  There shouldn’t be stamina or sprinting.  There shouldn’t be NYC because it’s been done a hundred times.  There shouldn’t be online gameplay it is one of the worst ideas for any Bethesda Game Studios game.  We want Fallout, not Red dead redemption. Relax and enjoy the game for what it is.

  • MikeCreanJr

i would like to choose to be a ghoul, human or super mutant in the fallout game. i agree with people posts on here that religion is a good idea just style just like fallout 3 in that game. more options of quests with other factions in the game for example in fallout 3 you can do quests with brotherhood of steel, slavers and other cities but not with the enclave or raiders. i would like more choices on how to end the game for example in fallout 3 you helped brotherhood steel takeover the water facility but no option with siding with the enclave and helping them hand out the water like you did in the dlc on fallout 3 broken steel. i would like also when i do the final quest i would like to still play the game forever like in the broken steel dlc on fallout 3 and other quests for the aftermath of the final quest. better followers if you choose to be evil for example in fallout 3 all the followers you could choose from having a evil karma  wasn’t as good as the followers if you had a good karma.  have more choices to join evil factions for example in fallout 3 you can only join the slavers as the evil faction but not the raiders or the enclave and do special quests for them that last forever like when you get blood samples from the super mutants and return them to brotherhood of steel that quest lasts forever do quests like that for the evil factions.

    • Killerfish

@MikeCreanJr I would like to be able to choose between ghoul and human and other but it would be a bad idee just think in fallout 3 the end would be to easy to choose what you want to do because you are a ghoul and in new vegas you could have gone to the moon with the other ghouls and the game would end. it would also take  away some of the stories and you don’t have to worried about radiation so the game would be easy. besides most would choose human in the end.

    • Gwatts

@MikeCreanJr I agree with Killerfish, if you could be a ghoul it would take away the risk of radiation sickness.  And being a super mutant would not work because so many humans despise super mutants.  It is also very rare for there to be an intelligent super mutant.  There will never be an option to be a super mutant, but there may one day be an option to be a ghoul.  It would just receive a lot of negative feedback from the fan base and wouldn’t really add to the game.

  • Gunslinger2008

I believe there needs to be a more in depth analysis of how mutation is involved in the game, for instance the FEV virus can make you a ghoul or a super mutant but you become neither even when you are exposed to it time and time again? It should be like vampirism in Skyrim, if you are attacked by a ghoul or centaur there should be a three day rule. If you don’t see a doctor right away you become a ghoul. And all this talk about walking and it not being fast enough. The only time I ever wished I could have been faster is when I ran into Quarry Junction as a level 2, and for those of you who don’t know what is in the quarry I will give you a hint: it starts with “A p- and ends with – ack of Deathclaws”. Get some apparel that increases your overall walking speed or, just enjoy the fact that you’re making it through this little piece of post-nuclear apoctolyptic paradise.

Another idea I had is that there should be a past to your character that effects there skill set. Lets say there are three examples; a gunslinger, a mercenary, and a doctor. The gunslinger is nimble, agile, and accurate. He is quick with his hands and with his head. He is good with guns, sneak/speech, and survival. The merc is just a gun for hire, the ‘shoot first and shoot again later’ type. Good with explosives, repair, and barter (for more caps). And last but not least the doc, a smart and steady individual that has extensive knowledge of tech and all things healthy. One as well learned as this should be skilled in speech, medicine, and science. Aslo have differing jobs for them, the gunslinger keeps the law firm, the merc kills (plain and simple), and the doc can heal an entire town plagued with illness and disease, (maybe even cause it….).

As for the radio on the pip-boy, gotta have it! If not there would just be creepy music that when something attacks you from behind makes you jump from your seat and curse. But hearing the same song over and over, and over again gets irritating. Irritating enough to go to the broadcast station and smash that holotape with a super sledge…. and then burn it with a flamer… and fire a mini-nuke at it just to be sure it will never, ever be played again. So ADD MORE SONGS ATLEAST LIKE 20 songs total.

There needs to be more modifications to weapons, atleast one mod per non-unique weapon. I am proud to say I am a shotgun kind of guy, Lever Action to be specific. But with a 5 shell max capacity its hard to get that last kill when the legion death squad comes after you and you lost your companiodns due to a location complication. Make a long tube attachment, for the love of atom, do it.

Please feel free to comment on anything I have said, I would be glad to discuss it with someone who appreciates the game as I do for once.

    -The Gunslinger2008

    • RobbiePelkey

@Gunslinger2008 totally agree with the pipboy music i love that shit hearing 1950’s music running through the wasteland only problem its a mix of like 5 songs lengthen the song list and that would be awesome.

      • Killerfish

@RobbiePelkey  @Gunslinger2008 agree 100% there is noting better then killing a group of bandits with a plasma rifle while there is 1950’s music playing  in the background

    • MikeCreanJr

      @Gunslinger2008 agree 100% with you.

    • Gwatts

@Gunslinger2008  I don’t think you know how FEV works.  It is not something you contract from a super mutant. Also, ghouls are not ghouls from FEV, it is from some form of overexposure to radiation that turns you into a ghoul.  I don’t really remember what’s different about the exposure to turn you into a ghoul, because normally it would just kill you. Anyway, Super mutants are only created through intentional very high exposure to FEV.  Mariposa super mutants were created by The Master, who wanted to expose all life to FEV for a perfect society.  When he died, those super mutants just kind of stopped caring and stopped multiplying.  Most of(or all) the super mutants in NV were part of the master’s army.  The Vault 87 super mutants are a different kind of mutant, as it is a different form of the FEV.  They were first created by experimentation in vault 87 and eventually they just captured humans and exposed them to FEV in order to make more super mutants.  Having a system like vampirism in TES is just a terrible idea and would be like pissing all over Fallout lore.

As for your other points, I don’t agree with the classes, because it would just not be Fallout.  I do agree with the music though.  But I’m pretty sure NV had more than 20 songs.  I think they should have at least twice what NV had, except less country western.  In fact, they should just take Mafia 2’s soundtrack and put it into fallout 4.  I do think there should be more mods for weapons, without becoming call of duty, because before NV release they advertised the mods, then there weren’t even that many.

      • Gwatts

@Gunslinger2008 I also agree with what you said about walking.  Keep it as is.

  • RPGgamer

I would like to see some form of speedy transportian (not armoured cars) and a larger area to explore. Also more character freedom would be nice.

  • Gunslinger2008

@Killerfish , @RobbiePelkey , @MikeCreanJr : Thanks for the responses. Now we have disscussed the future, but what of the past? I would like for you to post your favorite F3 and F:NV armor and weapon of choice. Mine are The Tb51 Winterized Power Armor & Gauss Rifle From F3’s Op: Anchorage DLC and The Desert Ranger Combat Armor from F:NV’s Honset Hearts DLC (my favorite dlc of all time, got to level 20 from that add on, in less than a day) accompanied with the 20 gauge Lever Action Shotgun. We all hove our certain play styles so no put-downs or dissing your fellow gamers choices. That ain’t cool. Yes I typed it. AIN’T.

@Gunslinger2008  @RobbiePelkey  @MikeCreanJr i Love my Power Armor the dark brother hood of steel armor just looks so much cooler to me and alien blaster uber strong even thou you have limited ammo and there ranger armor in new Vegas just looks so awesome with the trench cot over the armor and helmet i just whise thy made the plasma rife animation like in fallout 2 where thy turn into skelentens and goo and not just goo

    • Gwatts

@Gunslinger2008  @Killerfish  @RobbiePelkey  @MikeCreanJr Armor: any Enclave armor.  I like the look of it.  Weapon: Euclid’s C-Finder.  As for my actual favorite weapon, the Marksman Carbine

      • Killerfish

@Gwatts  @Gunslinger2008  @RobbiePelkey  @MikeCreanJr the Enclave armor just need a other helmet i think that is all i don’t like about it

    • MikeCreanJr

@Gunslinger2008  @Killerfish  @RobbiePelkey  fallout 3 gauss rifle and the tesla armor i really had no favorite armor for the head in fallout 3. fallout new vegas  gannon family tesla armor and the blade of the west from lonesome road add-on and also marked beast eyes helmet from lonesome road add-on.

    • RobbiePelkey

@Gunslinger2008  @Killerfish  @MikeCreanJr Enclave hellfire armor and the lincoln reapeater or alien blaster for sure

  • Gwatts

In my previous comment I said that a mount or sprinting would not be a bad idea, but now that I think about it, it is a bad idea.  Never once was I walking around in the wasteland and wished I could go faster.  Also, you shouldn’t be able to run away from enemies.  I would also like to bring something up I had not mentioned, Followers.  As much as I use followers, I think they should be turned down by a lot.  I think I came too much to relying on followers to do things for me.  I never felt any real danger when I had a follower.  But I should feel danger.  You shouldn’t be able to feel comfortable in a post-apocalyptic  wasteland desolate of human activity.  It was even worse in NV, because followers couldn’t die!  And in FO3, once you get Fawkes you are pretty much unbeatable.  I actually tried to kill Fawkes one time, and actually ran out of ammo before he died(although I was carrying a lot of ammo for guns I was not carrying).  I know, I could just not use followers, but it just feels like part of the game that I’m missing out on, particularly in NV.  They should make followers as they were in the original Fallouts, incredibly easy to die.

    • Gwatts

And a sort of Deus Ex Machina religion may be cool

    • Killerfish

@Gwatts i must say in fallout 3 i didn’t care about sprinting it didn’t bother me but then i started adding mods like new places more guns and other stuff and 1 mod was sprinting and i only used it when there was no enemies near me i never run away from enemies . and the companions on FA NV was strong even if i was playing hardcore mode boon and e-de was a strong team together i knew of enemies mile’s away and could just snipe them.

    • MikeCreanJr

@Gwatts  i disagree because when your follower can easily  die then you tend to focus in a tough battle from winning it to protecting the follower from dying and take on more damage yourself and it makes the game less fun. that is what i do when i play the fallout games and do not like that one bit either. i think followers should not die like in fallout new vegas because if you don’t want a follower then don’t get one but you do then get one. especially usefull when you start playing a new game with hardly no money and low on stimpak then i rely on the follower to do the most shooting and then loot them until i get alot of money and alot of stimpaks.

      • Gwatts

@MikeCreanJr @Gwatts I would like to refer you to the game’s “easy” mode. I think you’ll feel right at home.

      • Gwatts

@MikeCreanJr I would like to refer you to the game’s “easy” mode. I think you’ll feel right at home.

  • RobbiePelkey

So i sat down and played fallout 3 again for a good 5 hours and realized a few things that would be really nice.  Having multiple radio stations that played different types of music like @gwatts said he didnt want to hear the country western stuff so maybe have multiple stations playing different types of 50’s music also i noticed the radio guys say the same shit over and over again they should update what they say based off of what quests you have completed or also give hints on what area to go to next.  another thing i noticed there are a lot of standing building but you cant go in them change that so you have more places to explore.  Also i freaking love the VATS wrist system they should keep it no matter what.  I also change my mind about running first of all your guy is already running and have you tried sprinting in jeans?? its hard as hell trying putting on a power suit and sprinting…. righhht?  What do you guys think about adding more customization to characters faces?  What are you ideas about customizable weapons?  Ex:: I have a repeater but i find a glass bottle and duck tape can i make it silenced?  Marriage and Kids?  How about more realistic running instead of looking like your hovering on the ground  when not in 1st person and weapon use such as a baseball bat that actually makes a person flinch or sword that could cut of a limb?  Build your own house in the wasteland or even town made of your followers?  Any other ideas?

@RobbiePelkey  @gwatts i 100% agree with you. another suggestion is maybe you can be in charge of a town. i think there should be questline like in  the elder scrolls  to be the leader of the brotherhood of steel, slavers and towns and any other faction i left out and make choices on how to lead them that faction or town too. in fallout new vegas we could just rule over a ncr post  and the same for caesar legion. i did not like how we could capture slaves in fallout 3 but could not in fallout new vegas. i think if there is a faction that captures people and makes them slaves that we should be able to  capture slaves and get money for them and lower the karma towards evil. also keep the churches in fallout 3 and to give money to them to increase your karma because i used that heavily and liked that.  increase the merchants caps because i feel like when i first start playing even when i have little stuff to sell it likes i can’t sell everything to that merchant. so increase the merchants caps to like at least 2,000 or 1,000 caps and like the merchants caps resent every day so it will be easier to earn caps when you first start playing and have hardly no caps in the game.

@RobbiePelkey @Killerfish @Gwatts @MikeCreanJr  I believe that you should have to pick a faction to affiliate yourself with right of the bat. Just think how much better off you would be, born into the insitute, or a part of the railroad. You would get caps for any android you help escape or re capture. And one thing that should be taken from skyrim is the shouts. Just kidding. It should be the same freedom to start anywhere you want to. I started skyrim with checking out that aventus arantino, which (spoiler alert dont read anymore if you dont want to know) starts the Dark Brotherhood quest line. I made it to level 20 in a days time contract killing for the ‘hood’. I made all my money, something like 200,000 gold septims, through the quest line, especially with the radiant final quest. You should get more rumors, and have a misc. catagory for said quests. Think of all those trinkets and goodies that you couldnt get your hands on until you were almost sleeping with your faction…. It took more work than a real life relationship. And in response to  RobbiePelkey why would you bring a child into an irradiated wasteland filled with marrauding raiders and monstrocities? Maybe to have them grow old to become a companion??? And the brotherhood of steel has anti chaffing under suit.

@Gunslinger2008  @RobbiePelkey  @Killerfish  @MikeCreanJr Skyrim is almost 2 years old, you don’t have to say spoiler alert anymore.  Just sayin

Hey you are talking to a guy who has friends that have never played skyrin, not even looked up what it was. This past weekend I became the new harbringer of the companions, led the dawngaurd to victory and got my archery up with my sweet dwemer bow.

They can do what they will with the  Fallout 4 concept and execution, but honestly, I’m hoping it gets a serious reboot on the engine they use. In a world like this, if they’re going to go FPS style, I think it’s mandatory that they revamp the physics and lighting, maybe add in a comprehensive cover system like Farcry 3 or Battlefield 4.Smooth movement across random terrain would really help in avoiding those uneven sections of land and hopping small fences and things when the bullets start flying. I’d appreciate stealth kill animations with melee weapons, and smoother, more natural animation in and of itself. Heck, I’d be happy with just Skyrim’s graphics.

RobbiePelkey I love the idea of building a hideout in the middle of the wasteland. Set up mines and laser grids that you have to build your science and repair skill to do. Marriage and kids would be an amazing addition too. I don’t agree with no sprint. I think you should be able to move quicker in light armor and clothing, but powersuits would disable sprint, but maybe come with a limited jet propulsion system to skid you across the ground like a battle mech. Your strafe would be sick.
I seriously hope they do something about combat too. Hitting people with bullets and melee attacks felt like shooting wood. No reaction at all. Like in Skyrim, my swords and knives just slid across their faces and made sounds, nothing else. The blows have no weight to them. Not cool. Revamp please.

Gwatts You can kill followers, I think. I know I killed Veronica in New Vegas by accident. That’s why they’ve got the spray and pray perk where your followers take less damage when you shoot them. I think how much damage you do to them is also reflective on the difficulty level. I agree with mounts. I can’t imagine traversing that rugged terrain on a mount. I’d likely fall off of a cliff and die. Not cool. But running from enemies is a must have.
It provides strategy and style of play. Avoid them or engage them. Pick them off one by one or charge in and slaughter them. Isolate and conquer with stealth and distraction, or lure them to a choke point and kill them all with one shot from a fatman missile. Limitations in games like this are completely detrimental, they only hurt the game and leave us with a feeling of “You know what would have been cool?” I’m tired of that.
