The Wolverine plot, trailer and mixed reviews
With the Wolverine returning to do battle once again there are some mixed reactions about this sequel that takes Hugh Jackman’s Logan to Japan fighting against ninjas. Scheduled to release on July 24, 2013, this film explores the Wolverine’s more vulnerable side set sometime after the events of X-Men: The Last Stand and reunites him with an old acquaintance that results in lasting consequences.
Stripped of his immortality, Logan has to choose his battles carefully, while his inner demons are also a hindrance as he continues to fight the deadly samurai and his ultimate nemesis. The vulnerability of this character within the film is not a new concept and we are eager to know if fans are happy with this idea, although from what we are led to believe this film will actually show the Wolverine at his most powerful.
Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine is one of the most iconic characters in the world of superheroes and his portrayal has been welcomed by fans and newcomers alike, but it seems as if not everyone is excited about another film featuring this prominent member of the X-Men.
Fans of the X-Men films are questioning why Wolverine features so highly, but we can understand that Hugh as Wolverine is an ideal character for spin-off movies, although we would love to see some other characters involved in their own films.
We have embedded The Wolverine official trailer below to see what our reader feel about this film and we would love to know whether you think they should call it day when it comes to more Wolverine films, or are you glad to see Hugh Jackman back as Logan once again?
