iPhone 5, 5C and 5S iOS 7 jailbreak months away
As Apple customers look towards removing the limitations of iOS 7 the opportunity for users to jailbreak their iPhone 5, 5C and 5S could be months away, which means many who haven’t yet installed iOS 7 on their device may indeed wait a bit longer for the jailbreak to be obtainable. While some suggest those with older Apple products like the iPhone 4 or 4S might be able to access this quite soon those with the newer models may have to wait some time.
In an interesting article on Extreme Tech they question when the likes of an Evasi0n or Redsn0w jailbreak will ever be ready for download, and this is all down to finding an exploit such as a vulnerability or a bug that can be taken advantage of.
According to the report this is very hard to do and could require some time to research this intensive task, as it will take a special kind of mind just to know where to start, regardless of what is needed to carry it through to completion.
As Apple improves its defences, hackers need to find a really low-level exploit, as Apple can always patch this with another new version of iOS, and even though there have been some temporary jailbreaks or tethered ones in the past, Apple still seems to hold all the cards.
Apparently, hacking groups like Evad3rs have been using twitter and other forums to inform the public an iOS 7 jailbreak is in the works, but unlike the iOS 6 we cannot see this being jailbroken on its release day, with some suggesting this could take around six months, therefore we would love to know whether you are intending to stay with iOS 6.1.2 until the iOS 7 is exploited.
