Drive Club PS4 release date delayed

Drive Club PS4 release date delayed

Concerning news regarding the upcoming Drive Club PS4 release date being delayed will not be welcomed by many gamers, as this was expected to arrive at the same time as the PlayStation 4. We were under the impression this PS4 exclusive would be available at the time of the console’s release, but it seems as if more time is needed to get this to their standards and surpass gamers expectations.

The Drive Club update posted by the President of SCE Worldwide Studios can be seen on The PlayStation Blog along with details of the game being setback until the beginning of next year including the PlayStation Plus Edition.

This decision to delay the game will affect PlayStation Plus members with the Instant Game Collection for launch, and this was a major title to accompany the next-gen console. Drive Club will eventually be part of the Instant Game Collection when it finally does come out, although in addition to Resogun, Shuhei Yoshida has announced another highly anticipated title known as Contrast, and this will come free as part of the Instant Game Collection.

On the aforementioned site they show a trailer of Contrast, and those who have yet to see this film-noir inspired game may want to check it out, as apparently this unlike anything you have experienced before.

Other upcoming events to promote the upcoming console include a members’ invite to an exclusive “Open” Weekend” trial of Killzone Shadow Fall multiplayer, and this will commence on the 28th-29th December.

The powers that be acknowledge gamers disappointment about the delay and assure gamers that they are doing their best to bring this next-gen racing game up to a standard that suits their vision. They do highlight the vast array of titles available for the PS4, which include the likes of Killzone Shadow Fall, Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag, FIFA 14, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Battlefield 4 and Knack, all available at launch.

We can empathize with those who were looking forward to this, and we are also disappointed in the delay considering this game has been hyped up so much as a PS4 launch title, therefore we just hope it is worth the wait.

Was Drive Club the main title that you were looking forward when the PS4 launches? Maybe you were hoping to experience this over the Christmas holiday period.
