Assassin’s Creed 4 Illustrious Pirates customization options and weapons

The popular Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag game from Ubisoft is still managing to keep gamers occupied with more downloadable content adding longevity to this title. The new Illustrious Pirates DLC brings in further customization options and weapons, and we can expect this to start rolling out from today on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles.

According to Polygon, PS3 and PS4 gamers will have to wait until tomorrow to access this along with a global Windows PC release. The Illustrious Pirates downloadable content for Black Flag will be available from today at a cost of $7 in North America or your region’s equivalent, and the official Ubisoft blog states that this is accessible for Season Pass holders at no additional cost.

A full list of what’s in store with this DLC is compiled on the aforementioned site highlighting a number of different additions to both the single-player missions and the multiplayer. While some gamers were hoping to see this sooner we are happy to see it arrive at all, as our October post discussed no Assassin’s Creed 4 DLC for Xbox 360 or Xbox One any time soon.

In this we highlighted the wait for additional content and questioned whether this will only be exclusive to the Sony consoles, considering we heard reports during the E3 event both Ubisoft and Sony announced PlayStation editions will feature around an hours’ worth of exclusive gameplay.

With this in mind, we would love to know our readers thoughts on the game two full months on after its release. Have you already completed Assassin’s Creed 4 and feel this content has arrived too late?
