Wireless Turtle Beach headsets release details for PS4

It was obvious that the connectivity options for the PS4 was going to limited for the first few months or so, as third-party accessory makers needed enough time to develop products that would fully support Sony’s next-gen console.

One of those third-party accessory makers would be Turtle Beach because they do not have an official wireless headset that supports the PlayStation 4. However, they do have kits to make this work, just like for the Xbox One, but these require wires and a proprietary control unit.

However, we now have some details on the release of wireless Turtle Beach headsets for the PS4. According to a report from Eurogamer, Turtle Beach has signed a deal with Sony to become the official headset maker for the PlayStation 4.

We’re also told that these new headsets will work with the PS Vita and that more details, such as design specs and images will be released in the summer with the aim of a release date for these Turtle Beach PS4 headsets in the autumn, so from late September onwards.

While there is still a way to go for its release, the thought of not having to plug a headset into to DualShock 4 for chat purposes cannot come soon enough.

In the meantime we ask what sort of design and decals you would like to see on these upcoming PS4 headsets from Turtle Beach?
