Pokemon X and Y in TCG World Championships 2014

Pokemon X and Y in TCG World Championships 2014

It seems Nintendo is will be leaving Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 behind in the upcoming World Championships with Pokémon X and Y replacing them as the official versions at the TCG World Championships 2014. The series of competitions that will be staged across the U.S. this month will give gamers the opportunity to prove their pocket-monster prowess.

This will be the first time this event will include Pokémon X and Y since its release on the 3DS. Venture Beat discusses the five regional events this month as the top finisher will gain entry to the U.S. National Championships along with trophies, as well as the opportunity to enter the 2014 World Championships in Washington, D.C. this August.

Anyone with a 3DS and a copy of Pokémon X or Y can compete in the regional events, as well as the trading card-game competition, and those who want regular updates can head over to the Official Pokémon page and find out more about the awards for each age division.

In other Pokémon news, we recently spoke about the delayed release date for Pokebank as this is still not live, and gamers have been waiting patiently since the 27th December without any form of update from Nintendo as to why this has been delayed. Therefore, are you disappointed that no excuse or reassurance has come from Nintendo now that we are over a week into the New Year?
