Iron Man 4 Not happening Robert Downey Jr now confirms

Will there be a fourth Iron Man movie, seems to be a big question these days, and it seems there is no one that can, or is willing to answer that question straight out. Not even Iron Man himself, Robert Downey Jr.

Yesterday we reported that whilst appearing on the Ellen DeGeneres show, Robert Downey Jr. kind of delivered confirmation that Iron Man 4 would be happening. However, just hours after that confirmation, Downey Jr. did a bit of a u-turn when appearing on The Late Show with David Letterman.

We have embedded a video of that particular interview below, in which Downey Jr. was asked when Iron Man 4 would be out, to which the actor responded “There are no plans for Iron Man 4.”

Letterman then asked if Robert Downy Jr. has seen a script for the movie, and Downey Jr. replies, “No, there is no script for Iron Man 4, but they [Marvel] do have a plan, and I think they’re going to announce it… you know, they’re very secretive about it.”

Later in the footage, Downey Jr. is asked if he would be returning to the role again, which the actor responds with, “Just between us, no. But I’m going to do other stuff with Marvel. I’m still going to be involved with Marvel, and there’s going to be plenty of fun stuff to happen.”

So there you have it, on one show Downey Jr. offers Iron Man 4 confirmation, then on another backtracks on that confirmation, which only adds to the confusion as to whether an Iron Man 4 will happen.
