2015 Oscars full winners list

The movie industries biggest awards ceremony, the 87th Academy Awards was held last night, and all the nominated stars turned out for the glitzy ceremony held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood Los Angeles.

So which of the many nominees won big at the 2015 Oscars? For those that are interested, we have the full list of winners for your consideration below courtesy of the guys over at Cinema Blend.

So kicking things off with the award for Best Picture, which went to Birdman, whilst the Best Actor Oscar was won by Eddie Redmayne for The Theory of Everything, and the Best Actress Oscar went to Julianne Moore for Still Alice.


Best Supporting Actor was won by JK Simmons for Whiplash, whilst the Best Supporting Actress went to Patricia Arquette for Boyhood. The Oscar for Best Director was awarded to Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu for Birdman.

Best Adapted Screenplay was won by The Imitation Game, whilst Best Original Screenplay was won by Birdman, or (The Unexpected Virtue Of Ignorance). The Best Animated Feature Oscar went to Big Hero 6, and the Best Foreign Language Film went to Ida.

The Best Documentary Feature award was won by CitizenFour, whilst Best Production Design was won by The Grand Budapest Hotel. Best Cinematography went to Birdman, whilst Best Costume Design went to The Grand Budapest Hotel.

The Best Editing Oscar was won by Whiplash, and Best Makeup and Hairstyling went to The Grand Budapest Hotel. Best Score was also won by The Grand Budapest Hotel, whilst the Best Original Song Oscar was won by “Glory” from Selma.

The winner of the Best Sound Editing went to American Sniper, whilst Best Sound Mixing went to Whiplash. Best Visual Effects was won by Interstellar, and Best Animated Short was awarded to Feast, Patrick Osborne and Kristina Reed.

Best Documentary Short went to Crisis Hotline: Veterans Press 1, whilst the Best Live Action Short Oscar was awarded to The Phone Call.
