2015 Oscars host Neil Patrick Harris strips off for Birdman tribute
Birdman did quite well at the 87th Academy Awards, with the movie picking up an Oscar for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Cinematography, and the host of the 2015 Oscars, Neil Patrick Harris did a little tribute to Birdman during the ceremony.
Neil Patrick Harris re-enacted the scene in Birdman where Michael Keaton walked through Times Square in just his white underpants, and so if you happened to miss the 2015 Oscars host striping off for that re-enactment we have embedded the video below for your viewing entertainment.
In the video Neil Patrick Harris walks almost naked through the back stage, signing autographs as he moves along towards the stage with photographers snapping pictures. Until he comes across Miles Teller banging away at the drums, to which Neil Patrick Harris to clench his fist in Teller’s face and say, “Not my tempo.”
The host then causally walks on stage in just his white y-fronts, black socks and shoes to tumultuous cheers, whistles and applause and announces… “Acting is a noble profession.”
It’s not often you see the host of the Academy Awards present in just his underwear, but it was comedic genius, and a fitting tribute to the winner of the Best Picture Oscar…enjoy the footage.
