Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back comes to Secret Cinema

Star Wars fans here in the UK have something special to look forward to as Secret Cinema has now announced that their next event will be screenings of what some Star Wars fans consider the best movie of the franchise, the second movie to be released, but the fifth in the series, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.

The immersive cinema experience organisation that prides itself on its secrecy, will hold the Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back screenings at a secret location in the UK’s capital as of the 4th of June this year, reports Cinema Blend.

Secret Cinema are putting out a few clues to just where the Star Wars event will be held though, and have told fans to ‘look out for a secret code on forgotten buildings, with the Secret Cinema Facebook page announcing…

“Earth is the system. We are seeking rebels from around the world to join the Rebel Alliance and head to a Secret City where they will be taken on a journey through the world of Star Wars,” and goes on to say, “Look out for a secret code on forgotten buildings in the days to come which will lead to a secret portal. We are gathering those that believe in the Force by reinstating the importance of romance, adventure and mystery in this high-speed world.”

Last year Secret Cinema put on a special Back To The Future event that sold an impressive 65,000 tickets, so one can expect the Star Wars event to be just as popular, although apparently you will be required to shell out £70 for an adult ticket with tickets going on sale as of the 18th of this month.

There are several dates available for the screenings of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back running from the 4th of June through the 2nd of August.
