No Star Wars: The Force Awakens footage at D23

It was back in April when J.J. Abrams provided the first trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens during the Star Wars Celebration Expo, and if you are a Star Wars fan attending D23 this weekend, and hoping to see new footage from the movie, you will be disappointed.

Disney’s D23 Expo will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center, and many Star Wars fans have been wondering if new footage from Star Wars: The Force Awakens will debut, but director J.J. Abrams has confirmed it will not happen, reports Coming Soon.

Here’s what Abrams ad to say about the possibility of new Star Wars: The Force Awakens footage at D23…

“We are showing no footage, behind the scenes or otherwise. In the fall, there’ll be a trailer… We’re thrilled to go to D23 and meet the fans, but it’s a tricky thing to try and rush [footage] for a convention or preexisting event that would, of course, be fun to show something at.”

So there you have it, no Star Wars: The Force Awakens footage, new or otherwise, to be shown at D23, but that doesn’t rule out the possibility of new photos or even posters being revealed does it.
