73rd Golden Globes sees Ricky Gervais return as host

The 73rd Golden Globe Awards kicks is scheduled to kick off in January, and the award ceremony will have a familiar face playing the host this time round, and Ricky Gervais has agreed to host the show for the fourth time.

Gervais has previously hosted the awards show three times, the 67th, 68th and 69th Golden Globes, after which he did vow that he wouldn’t do it again, but the comedian seems to have had a change of heart when he was asked to host the 73rd Golden Globe Awards, reports Joblo.

On the subject of Gervais returning to host for the fourth time, the president of alternative and late-night at NBC Paul Telegdy said… “Tina and Amy are a hard act to follow but Ricky is completely fearless and entirely up for the job. He always did us proud. Welcome back, Ricky.”

The 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards ceremony is set for the 10th of January 2016 at the Beverley Hilton Hotel.

Barry Adelman, the exec producer of the 73rd Golden Globe Awards has said… “What will he say? What will he do? We can’t wait to find out, and we are so happy that he’s back.”

Whilst Lorenzo Soria, the president of the HFPA added… “Ricky Gervais left us with a lasting impression and we are thrilled to have him back in our show as we honor the best film and television, his off-the-cuff wit and quirky charm will surely have the room and audiences around the world at the edge of their seats.”
