Jennifer Lawrence stepping behind camera for next project
Now that Jennifer Lawrence is done with The Hunger Games movies, it appears the actress wants to try something other than acting with her next project, as the star has set her heart on sitting in the director’s chair.
During a recent interview the actress revealed that she has had a yearning to take the helm of a movie just as long as she has wanted to act, and Jennifer Lawrence is already attached to a project to make her directorial debut with, reports Cinema Blend.
Lawrence revealed… “I’ve signed on to direct something called Project Delirium – it’s based on this article about mental welfare in the 60’s, like an acid experiment gone terribly wrong.”
The article Lawrence speaks about is an article that was published in The New Yorker in 2012 under the title “Operation Delirium” that profiled the leader of a cold war experiment, Colonel James S. Ketchum, that entailed battling enemy soldiers with psychochemicals.
Project Delirium wont be the first time Jennifer Lawrence has worked behind the camera though, as recently the actress joined forces with Amy Schumer to co-write a screenplay and appear together in a comedy movie, but Project Delirium will be the first time Lawrence sits in the director’s chair…more as and when we know.
