NASCAR Sprint Cup Race Results: Jimmie Johnson Chevrolet Win


For those of you who wish to know the NASCAR Sprint Cup Race Results, it was Jimmie Johnson and his No. 48 Lowe’s/Jimmie Johnson Foundation Chevrolet. Johnson won the Pepsi 500 in front of a crowd of 70,000; it was his 36th victory in 244 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races.

Oscar De La Hoya and Manny Pacquiao to fight December 6


We all thought that the biggest fight in years was called off, but it now seems that the bout is back on again on December 6, in Las Vegas. Oscar De La Hoya has now agreed to take on Manny Pacquiao, the rising superstar.

Mark Kotsay close to Boston Red Sox deal


Mark Kotsay, the brave center is so close to a deal with The Boston red Sox, rumors are all over the net as the trade must happen before Sunday. This is the deadline for setting the postseason rosters.

Mets Squander 7-0 lead against the Phillies: Collapse Worries


The Mets might start to hear the word collapse a lot in the future, after the team squander a 7-0 lead against the Phillies. The Mets lost 8-7 loss in 13 innings, this is nothing compared to the seven-game lead that they blew in the final 17 games last year.

USA Wins Men’s Beach Volleyball: Second Gold Medal for sport


USA has got a lot to smile about as they have won the men’s beach volleyball, making it two gold medals in the sport for the U.S. team. Phil Dalhausser and Todd Rogers beat Brazil’s Marcio and Fabio 2-1 (23-21, 17-21, 15-4). The USA women’s team had also won the Olympic gold, beating China. (read more…)

U.S. softball team upset as Japan win 3-1


It has been a time of upset for the U.S. as there softball team have lost 3-1 to Japan as well as the men and women being disqualified in the 4×100 relay. Losing the softball has been the biggest upset to the U.S. Olympic squad, but this could have a great affect on future Olympic Games.

Chinese underage gymnasts claims sparks of investigation


There are reports that the International Olympic Committee has launched a probe into the claims that the Chinese gymnasts were underage. This comes after documents were found raising questions about their eligibility.

He Kexin has been feted after winning the individual and team gold, many believe that she is only 14 but she still maintains that she is 16. The ages of her team mates Jiang Yuyuan and Yang Yilin have also come into question. (read more…)
