Cowell didn't sack Walsh

Last night Simon Cowell denied claims that he sacked Louis Walsh from hit talent show the X Factor, saying it was ITV bosses who made the decision. Apparently Simon argued with ITV bosses to keep Walsh and show host Kate Thornton but was overruled.

Simon said, “It was not my decision. I didn’t fire Louis.” However, Cowell added that he understood why ITV believed the show needed a revamp.
