A young woman in her 20s and a child one year old According to police, they were found dead in a Cumbria home. 

After concerns for the welfare and safety of a woman, officers were dispatched to Wellington Row in Whitehaven on December 30, at 2.52pm. 

The bodies of the infant and the young woman were found upon their arrival. 

Cumbria Constabulary spokesmen said they were not considering the deaths suspicious.

The property was surrounded by police. On December 30, officers were dispatched to Wellington Row, Whitehaven to inquire about the welfare of a female.

According to the force, a statement was released saying that police attended Wellington Row in Whitehaven after receiving a call at 2.52pm on 30/12 regarding a concern about the well-being of a female.

“Sadly, there were two victims found dead at the address: a young woman in her 20s and a child one year old.

“There are not suspicious circumstances.” We have contacted the coroner.
