Anne Robinson broke her silence about the Rachel Riley “feud”.
It has been reported that The Countdown host, 77, is at loggerheads with maths grad Rachel, 35, and lexicographer Susie Dent, 56, with an uncomfortable atmosphere’ erupting since she took on the role.
Salford’s Media City studios claim that Anne has a strained relationship with staff off camera. This tension is attributed to Anne’s alleged ‘rather grand’ ways which earned her the nickname “Queen Anne”.

During a Lorraine episode, Rachel burst into silence about the Countdown feud’ and also talked about being a mother.
Speaking on the daytime TV show just 14 days after giving birth Rachel said: ‘Anne’s not the cuddliest person in the world, but it’s just a different show now, she’s making it her own.
“She is getting stuff from the contestants, and sometimes it’s hilarious, other times it’s barbeque, or both. It just has a new flavour.”
Last month Anne reportedly turned off Rachel’s microphone on set after becoming irritated by the host’s small talk.

According to The Sun, Anne became fed up of listening to Rachel chatting to contestants ahead of going on air, turning up at the last minute and being on her phone too much.
Crew reported that Rachel said to crew she was ‘completely against’ being silenced following the incident.
According to a source, the publication was told by a person that there is no relationship. Anne is known for being averse to noise and inefficient time-keeping. She will tolerate none.

“Anne has also suffered from tinnitus, and can’t bear excessive sound. Rachel can sometimes be loud due to her large heels and larger personality. Anne used to listen to Rachel chat with contestants prior to every show.
“She didn’t feel capable of doing her job well, and she felt that it was impossible to bond with contestants in order to make them relax before the cameras began rolling.
“The tension was palpable.” Anne found the entire thing funny.

Rachel continued to talk about what Maven was feeling when she met her baby sister.

“She is absolutely beautiful with her. She just wants her to touch her. It’s a great experience.
Lorraine asked Lorraine: “Who could have imagined that when you were on Strictly, you would win the most prize money in the world?” Rachel replied, “I did not get a gold star but I was able to have a husband and two beautiful daughters.”
She was exhausted from four hours of labor at home and finally revealed that Pasha had made her tea and toast for her bed.
