Kathryn Hays, the star of World Turns, has passed away at 88.
The soap legend died 25 March, but it has not been determined what caused his death.
The actress – who worked on the long- running show for 38 years from 1972 to 2010 – began her career the 60s with roles on shows such as Hawaiian Eye, Dr Kildare, Route 66, Bonanza and The Man from U.N.C.L.E.

Kathryn played Elizabeth Reynolds on The Road West in 26 episodes.
She also starred as Gem in The Empath, a 1968 Star Trek episode.
Kathryn has appeared in over 40 television shows throughout her career. Her last episode was a 2007 Law and Order: SUV.

Kathryn was conceived in Princeton (Illinois) on July 26, 1983.
She was first seen on television in 1962 as Jean Morgan, and her acting debut came with Hawaiian Eye.
Later, she was featured in Surfside 6 & Naked City the following year.
The actress played Elizabeth Reynolds Pride, a western star in The Road West between 1966 and 1967.

In Star Trek’s episode The Empath, she was portrayed as Gem.
Her appearances in 1960s-70’s shows included Bonanza, The Alfred Hitchcock Hour and Guiding Light. Yuma was also one of her many roles.
She was first cast in 1972 as Kim, and her last episode as Kim aired on September 17, 2010.
She also appeared in a 1999 episode of Law & Order and a 2007 episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
Kathryn was seen in four movies: Ladybug Ladybug (1963), Ride Beyond Vengeance (1966), Counterpoint (68) and Yuma ( 1971).
One of her final screen roles was in The Locher Room’s May 2020 episode. It is a series of YouTube videos that reunites soap actors.

The actress married Sidney Steinberg in 1957 and had a girl named Sherri.
Kathryn and Glenn Ford divorced in 1966 after Kathryn divorced.
After she split with Wolf Lieshke, she later married him in 1984.

Don Hasting, her soap star, paid tribute to the’relationship on screen’ and said they were “like brother-sister”.
He explained that they had a relationship like Bob and Kim. [Hastings]Kathryn was just as close to me as my relationship with Kathryn, although we weren’t married. “We were closer to brother and sister, and were close friends.”
“Our most significant disagreement was the fact that she wanted me to do rehearsals and she wanted to go to bed. It is a great loss for all those who were close to her.
Sherri and Bob Mancusi, Sherri and Bob Mancusi’s daughter and son-in law, and Kate and Garrett Wells (her three grandchildren) are the survivors of this Broadway legend. Jack is her great-grandson.
