A school administrator in Indiana was punished after he posted a viral video explaining how critical race theory is being used on his students.

Tony Kinnett was the Indianapolis School District’s science coordinator and instructional coach. The video exploded social media with its content on November 4.

“When we tell schools that they don’t teach critical racism theory…that’s misdirection,” he said in the video. The clip has been retweeted, quoted and tweeted over 7,000 time.

He continued, “We don’t have theories or quotes per se in the state standards.” We do use CRT when we teach. Our teachers are instructed to not discriminate against students based upon their color.

He continued, saying that white men are the root of every problem. That everything that western civilization has created is racist. The fact that capitalism is a tool for white supremacy. It is evident in mathematics, history, science, the arts, and it doesn’t seem to be slowing.

Kinnett stated that access to his work accounts was blocked earlier in the week and that he has been put on paid leave.

‘As of one hour ago, Indianapolis Public Schools has suspended my access to email & Google Drive,’ Indianapolis district science coordinator, instructional coach, and administrator Tony Kinnett posted on Twitter along with a screenshot.

Fox News reported that he said those fears were ‘unfounded’. Kinnett said that he had never disclosed any non-public information. He will now file an FOIA request with the district to confirm his concerns.

Kinnett claimed that in meetings with officials, administrators and HR, he was informed that the negative school pushback was his fault. They chastise him for not knowing that.

His bosses told him how to treat him made him feel like a “leper” or a “security threat.”

Kinnett stated that he isn’t yet fired to his knowledge. But, Kinnett was told in recent times that he would be fired if the post continued.

Kinnett explained that no matter what my status is or whether I am employed, the parents should still be informed of everything in Indianapolis. They deserve to be informed, regardless of whether they agree or disagree.

Indianapolis Public School System has yet not to comment.

CRITICAL RACE THORY: WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

Over the past year, the United States has seen a rise in critical race theory within schools.

This theory is gaining national attention due to the Black Lives Matter protests in various parts of the country during the past year as well as the 1619 Project.

New York Times’ 1619 Project was published in 2019 by the New York Times to commemorate 400 years of slavery on American soils.

Critical race theory is a debate about whether children have been indoctrinated to believe that all whites are racist or sexist.

People against critical race theory claim that they reduce people to the categories ‘privileged’ and ‘oppressed based upon their skin color.

However, supporters argue that the theory can be vital in eliminating racism, as it analyzes how race influences American culture, politics and law.
