One month after she gave birth to her second child, a mother-of-2 died in her sleep.
Amelia Smith was 23 years old when her partner Tom Mooney (25), found her dead in bed. He claimed she’d been as normal the previous night.
Ms Smith died of unknown causes. Mr Mooney shared that it was a sad day for everyone.

They had been out to eat on the Saturday before she died.
Mooney stated, “We went out Saturday.” [November 13]We went out for dinner, saw a film and fell asleep at 11:30pm.
“She went to sleep in her bed, it was quiet.
“She had her hair done on the same day as her eyelashes and brows. It was obvious that she knew people were coming to visit her.

He told the Liverpool Echo that Ms Smith fed the baby 4am and then went back to sleep.
He continued, “I woke up at 6:30am and brought the children downstairs. At 8.45am, I returned upstairs and found that she was lying on her back.”
“So, whatever happened within those short hours I do not know. However, we still await the return of the coroner.
The beautician from Kirkby, Merseyside, gave birth to the couple’s daughter Poppy on October 1, at Liverpool Women’s Hospital.

Ms Smith, Lucas (two), and Mr Mooney. Ms Smith and her son Lucas, two, had taken their dinner out on Saturday night (November 13th), the night prior to her death.
Mooney said that Poppy had been in hospital for three months, and she had low potassium levels. He put her on a drip to get the tablets.
He said, “She now has two children that she hasn’t seen grow up.”
“She was our glue, and she could do everything.
“I’m trying to put on a brave front for everybody, but it is difficult, and I’m struggling badly.”

“She died the day before her Birthday. She loved Bonfire Night, so she was buried that night.
“I was kicking myself that I didn’t go up earlier. She just had the baby at 4am and I assumed she was having a lie in.

Lucy Grayson Maguire, friend and fellow beauty therapist, set up the donation page. Amelia was described as a gentle, kind, and beautiful soul that could brighten up any room with her incredible smile and presence.
