The First Family celebrated Thanksgiving with a traditional menu in Nantucket where the President and First Lady welcomed family members to their $30 million after watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The family settled into the dining room after President Joe Biden and first lady Jill spent their morning watching the Macy’s parade on TV and phoning in to NBC’s Today show before heading out to thank the troops and tweeting a video message to the public.

They were served a Thanksgiving meal of thyme-roasted turkey with sides of ‘Grandmom Jacobs’ savory stuffing,’ classic turkey gravy, roasted kitchen garden fall vegetables; sweet potatoes, kale and button mushrooms, and cranberry relish, the White House said Thursday.

Jill has passed on her family’s recipe for savory stuffing to Grandmom Jacobs, which she shared with the community.

After dinner there were a range of desserts, such as apple pie, pumpkin, coconut cream pie and chocolate chip. He is well-known for his love of ice cream. He previously revealed that chocolate chip was his favourite flavor.

President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden hosted their daughter Ashley, Joe’s son Hunter and his wife Melissa, grandkids Beau Jr., Naomi, Finnegan and Maisy, Naomi’s fiancé Peter Neal, and Natalie and Hunter Jr. – Biden’s grandchildren from his deceased son Beau.

David Rubenstein’s $20 Million Retreat is where the family will be staying. This move has drawn ire from Americans who are often struggling to afford Thanksgiving dinners due to rising inflation.

VIDEO MESSAGE FROM BIDEN ON THANKSGIVING

Joe: Happy Thanksgiving everybody. Although Thanksgiving is always an important time in America, this year the blessings have a greater meaning.

Jill, We are now better able to enjoy the little things that can’t be planned or duplicated. A warm and full kitchen is the music of laughter. A thump from small feet making large sounds. A circle of faces formed around the dining table in candlelight.

Joe: We gather again to share our gratitude and grace for those we love. As Commander-in-Chief, we are especially thankful to the sacrifices of our military personnel and their families.

Jill, While we are celebrating together, many members of military families will be away from loved ones. Whether your spouse is deployed or you’ve settled into yet another base, the holidays just aren’t the same without the people and communities that make this holiday special. Your service is greatly appreciated.

Joe: While we are thankful for all that we have, let us remember those we’ve lost or those we love. And those who have an empty seat at their kitchen table or dining room table this year because of this virus or cruel twist of fate or accident. We offer our prayers for their safety.

Jill: Joe and I traveled this year with Joe. We have been inspired and seen so many things. The unbreakable bonds that unite all of us. The unbreakable threads that unite us all are family and faith as well kindness and compassion. It is a love of the country we call home.

Joe, You are so proud to be your First Lady and President. Also, from my family to yours, happy Thanksgiving. God bless you May God grant protection to troops and families.
