A schoolboy, aged 11, has been killed after his family was involved in a car crash near Winchester on Boxing Day evening.
At 8.50 pm, the boy died when his red Nissan Qashqai collided with the barrier at the slip road junction 11. On the southbound M3, the collision occurred at Junction 11.
According to Hampshire Police, his family is from Fair Oak Eastleigh.
Following the accident, the driver (a 61-year old male) was left with life-altering injuries.
Last night, the car crashed into a barrier at Junction 11 of the M3 southbound.
A 48-year old woman and nine-yearold girl sustained minor injuries.
Three members of the family are currently receiving treatment at Southampton General Hospital.
After the collision, officers are asking for any information.
Andy Storey of Inspector Andy said, “We know that the family traveled from Basingstoke.”
Southampton General Hospital is treating the three survivors of their family.
“We appeal to all those who were travelling on this section of the motorway at the time of the collision to contact us.
“We are also interested in speaking with anyone who was present at the accident. What did you witness?
