A 31 year-old British physician is struck by a bullet and killed while lying in a bed in Atlanta. It happened after an apartment neighbor ‘discharged the gun incorrectly’ 

  • Matthew Wilson, a British surgeon and 31-year old was killed in a single shot to the head.
  • The victim was found dead in his Brookhaven apartment. 
  • Wilson was in the US visiting family from England when Wilson was gunned down. 
  • Police said that he may have died because someone accidentally discharged his gun.










An unidentified bullet struck a British physician who was lying in his bed when he died. 

Matthew Willson was shot A neighbor accidentally fired their gun early Sunday by accident, according to police. 

Wilson was originally from Chertsey in England and was shot in the head while staying in Brookhaven in the suburbs. 

After hearing about gunfire, emergency services received calls at 2am Sunday morning.

Wilson was taken by ambulance to the hospital, where he died from one gunshot injury to the head.

Matthew Wilson, a British doctor, was found dead in his bed in Atlanta on Sunday.

Although no arrests have been made, police said that they are investigating Wilson’s murder at Clairmont Road in 3100 Block Clairmont Road. 

Brookhaven Police Department spokesperson stated that “This incident seems to be random and involve individuals participating in reckless discharge(s) of firearm(s), which led to Dr Wilson’s tragic demise.”

The statement stated that Wilson had been visiting his family from England at the time of the incident.
