Witnesses claim that a brutal group of Chechen soldiers killed and wounded Russian troops at a Bucha hospital.
The Kadyrovtsy, who have been used as a PR tool in Vladimir Putin’s war, allegedly murdered their own comrades and ‘operated a torture chamber’ in a glass factory on Yablonska Street – confirming previous reports by Ukraine’s ombudsman for human rights, Lyudmila Denisova.
Artem Hurin is a member the Irpin city council and also serves as deputy commander in Ukraine’s Territorial Defense Forces. He was the first person to visit Borodyanka northwest of Bucha after Putin’s troops retreated on April 2nd when Ukrainian forces seized the town.
He stated that they would take severely wounded Russian soldiers to the hospital and then shoot those with severe injuries. Only the Kadyrovtsy could do this.
Hurin recalled the litany of horrifying stories from residents who were tortured and raped by lawless Russian troops and saw evidence of ‘executed civilians’ who lay dead on the street, the Daily Beast reports.
Local residents claim the Kadyrovtsy Killer Squad of Chechen Fighters executed victims as early as March 5th.

They were used by Vladimir Putin as a propaganda tool. The Kadyrovtsy allegedly killed their own comrades, and operated a torture chamber in Yablonska Street’s glass factory.

One woman recalled how she endured four days of torture by one Kadyrovtsy soldier and one Belarusian soldier before they brutally shot her husband in the head.
Meanwhile, the Bucha Mayor, Anatoliy Fedoruk, claimed Chechen troops tied white bands around prisoners’ arms who were captured that were similar to those found on the bodies of executed civilians.
Opening up about civilians who attempted to leave their homes to get food and water, Hurin added: ‘They didn’t allow them to do anything. There they just killed people through binoculars for example. They just shot them.’
Many Chechen soldiers were fighting alongside the Russian military, which waged two wars against Chechnya – a Muslim republic in southern Russia – between 1994 and 2000.
As the towns around Kyiv which were recaptured by Ukrainian forces have revealed horrific atrocities, with the bodies of hundreds of dead civilians piled up after Putin withdrew his band of thugs.

Russia denies targeting civilians, despite numerous stories of gang violence, sexual abuse before children, torture, and executions that have emerged from barbaric warfare.
According to the UN Office of the High Commissar for Human Rights, a UN mission in Bucha found evidence of ‘the unlawful killing and summary execution of about 50 civilians’.
The Kyiv region’s civilian bodies were found to have been buried in mass graves. Forensic testing revealed that the victims had been raped and then brutally murdered.
Many autopsies of mutilated corpses have been performed in Bucha, Irpin, Borodianka. Some of these bodies showed evidence of torture while others had multiple bullet holes at the back.
Some victims have suffered severe disfigurement or death, and investigators were unable to find them.
Vladyslav Pirovskyi was a Ukrainian forensic physician who performed the autopsies. He said to The Guardian that he had already seen a number of cases that suggest these women were raped and then shot to death.
“We are unable to give any more detail as my colleagues still collect the data and have many bodies to analyze.”
The team was analyzing 15 bodies per day and most of them were killed by automatic guns.
He said, “There are many burned bodies and badly disfigured bodies that make it difficult to identify.”
“The head can be broken into small pieces and you cannot put it back together. Sometimes there is no head.”
Oleh Kalenko, the senior regional prosecutor has received the evidence and will continue to investigate.
This comes as a group of Chechen fighters were seen firing heavy machine guns towards residential buildings in Ukraine’s besieged city of Mariupol, on a video released on TikTok last month.

Aftermath image taken at Mariupol, the Ukrainian port city surrounded by Ukrainian forces. Many civilians had sought shelter there on Wednesday 16 March 2022.

The destruction of buildings can be seen while civilians are evacuated from Mariupol (Ukraine) under pro-Russian militants and Russian military on March 26th, 2022.
The footage, shared by Kremlin-allied Chechen warlord Ramzan Kadyrov, also showed the Chechen soldiers seemingly celebrating as the camera panned to show the hollowed-out shells of destroyed apartment blocks.
Camouflaged soldiers wore military gear and pumped their fists at the camera, shouting “allahu Akbar”.
On his Telegram channel, Kadyrov claimed his fighters were clearing ‘the territory of the Nazis’ – parroting a line used by President Putin and his propaganda machine to justify the invasion of Ukraine.
Mariupol witnessed some of most brutal fighting since Putin sent his troops into Ukraine on Feb 24, 2018. The Russian army has been bombarding Mariupol indiscriminately and razing vast swathes.
Officials claim that at most 2,400 civilians were killed in the port city’s southern section. However, it is possible that there is more. One official said earlier this month that he feared as many as 20,000 people could have been killed.
Chechen army is well-known for their Hollywood-style videos that claim to depict soldiers in action but actually show very little. Experts claim that the videos are part of Putin’s propaganda campaigns.
Kadyrov’s footage also shows his soldiers climbing through a window to reach a civilian. The video did not capture anyone actually being carried, though soldiers passed a mattress in the window.
An unassuming fighter in sunglasses smiled and panted his camera to capture the devastation all around him.
In a separate TikTok video released in March, Chechen special forces were filmed fighting house-to-house in besieged Mariupol while ‘hundreds’ of women and children remained trapped in the rubble of a city theatre destroyed by Russian invaders.
The footage, said to have been released by pro-Putin Chechen warlord Ramzan Kadyrov, shows heavily armed fighters from the region pounding a high-rise building in the bombed-out city during a fierce gunfight with Ukrainian soldiers.
This propaganda video shows the Chechen fighters posing with their children as they emerge from the building while purportedly ‘liberating” civilians.
This video was captured as many people still fearfully trapped beneath the rubble of a theater in the devastation city. Russian forces now control most of the city. Their airstrikes are focused on the Soviet steel plant close to the harbour. There, a contingent consisting of approximately 1000-2000 Ukrainian soldiers and roughly 1,000 civilians are trying to hold out.
Chechen troops are currently fighting in Ukraine as part of the National Guard of Russia.

In March, the fearsome Chechen special forces posted a video showing them fighting house to house in Mariupol’s besieged city. However, ‘hundreds of’ women and children are still trapped within the rubble of an abandoned theatre.

After the propaganda video cuts, it shows some Chechen fighters emerging out of the building holding children while they supposedly liberate civilians.

Ramzan Kadyrov, a pro-Putin Chechen warlord, released a video showing heavily-armed fighters from this region hitting a high-rise in the city’s bombed out area during an intense gunfight with Ukrainian troops.
One squad of Kadyrov’s fighters was reportedly sent to try and assassinate Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelensky, but was destroyed by Ukraine’s forces.
In his evening video address, Volodymyr Zelensky (Ukrainian President) switched from Russian to encourage Russian soldiers against fighting in Ukraine. Zelensky said even their commanders anticipated that thousands would die.
According to him, Russia is recruiting troops with little experience and motivation for units which were destroyed in the first weeks of war. These units will then be ready to go back to battle.
According to him, Russian commanders are fully aware that thousands will die and many more will be injured in the weeks ahead.
“Russian commanders lie about their soldiers, when they say they are going to hold them responsible for refusing fight, and then don’t tell them that, for instance, the Russian army has additional refrigerator trucks to store the bodies,” Mr Zelensky claimed late Saturday.
“They do not tell them the news about new generals’ losses. A Russian soldier still has the power to save his or her own life. It is better to survive in Russia rather than perish on this land.
This incident comes after Sweden claimed that a Russian military aircraft violated Swedish airspace. This incident occurred Friday evening in the Baltic Sea close to Bornholm.
According to the Swedish Armed Forces, a Russian AN-30 propeller aircraft flew towards Swedish airspace. It briefly entered the region before departing.
Swedish Air Force fighter planes were quickly dispatched and photographed the Russian airplane.
Swedish Defense Minister Peter Hultqvist stated to Swedish public radio that this violation was unacceptable and unprofessional.
Similar incident occurred in March when four Russian warplanes flew into Swedish airspace at the Baltic Sea.
After Russia’s invasion, both Sweden and Finland have been considering Nato membership. Moscow warned of the consequences but did not give specifics.
A British military update on Saturday said that Russia had been ordered to combine and redeploy disperate and depleted units following the failures in Ukraine’s northeast.
The Russian military continues to have problems with tactical coordination. Russia has been unable, despite improvements in local areas, to maximize its combat mass because of a shortage of air support and unit-level skills.
It stated that Russia hoped to resolve issues that had previously limited its invasion through geographically concentrating combat strength, shortening supply line and simplifying command-and-control.
