And on Friday, Carol Vorderman, 60, said she ‘couldn’t be prouder’ as she attended her son, Cameron’s master’s graduation ceremony at Dundee University.
The TV presenter shared the sweet moment in a series of photos as she celebrated his achievements after he overcame severe learning difficulties in his early life.

Carol shared that Cameron graduated with a master’s degree in Animation and VFX after successfully receiving a first class undergraduate award last year.
Her son was in special education and had many struggles. He went to a school where he could not read or write. His father worked very hard for his degree.
She wrote: “Such an amazing day @dundeeuni. Cameron spent most of his childhood in special education with learning disabilities. But he has worked hard to learn strategies that have helped him turn it around.

“I could not be more proud of him. This day was not possible to imagine. He received a First Class Honours degree last year, and now holds a Masters Degree in Animation and VFX.
“Thanks Dundee, for all you did over the past year. Amazing.’
This comes as last month, Carol and Cameron spoke candidly on This Morning about his special education needs.

Former Countdown – whose son has high spectrum autism, ADD, dyslexia and ADHD – was visibly emotional when she revealed that when Cameron was ‘four or five’ she moved him to a new London school, however was told by teachers ‘we can’t have him here’ as ‘we can’t teach him’.
Cameron touched on being called ‘disruptive in school’ and said: “That was it. It was in maths lessons that disruptive behavior occurred. Your panicking is so intense that you want to keep the rhythm with everybody else. If I don’t have the answer quickly enough, it’s disruptive.
Carol shared her feelings of protection for her son’s younger years and said that she was proud to be a mom. [you want to] protect, protect, protect. Like a lioness.’
After adding, “I didn’t want him grow up with labels,” she explained that Cameron was struggling to retain information. Her oldest child, Katie King (30), could learn the alphabet quickly. Cameron, however, couldn’t.
Carol stated that Cameron was in need of ‘an incredible amount’ of support and had been bullied as a child.
Elle elaborated, “It is a long path.” Your world, your heart are unhappy. Nothing could be done. I could not let go of telly. I did not know how to help him.
